jellybean051901 Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 We almost always hit Walmart first. From there we go to Kmart, Target, and Kohl's.
mccabefamily29 Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Every year it is WalMart first....from there KMart, Home Depot, and then it usually depends on the ads.
shopping mom Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 it will depend on the sales and who I have done already. I'll let you know when I see more ads though
thisismiguel Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 i gotta check the store's deals but last time me and my friend went to best buy to check out , than we stayed at circuit city and we were the first ones in Line. =]:)
arci122 Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 I have to see the ads first, but you can bet that Target and Sears are on the top of the list! (We avoid WM at all cost if we can)!
zim05 Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Since we've started BF we've always done the following: 1. Walmart - It opens b/f Target and its a 24hrs store so you can stand next to the things you want. 2. Target - Walmart and Target are less than a mile apart so we can get to Target a good 40mins b/f they open. - My mom sometimes hits up Herbegers b/f Target opens and is back in time to load up the car or help out inside. 3. Best Buy - We only get DVDs and little things that are either lying around or are being passed out by employees. - While my sis and I are hitting up BB my mom is usually done or heads to Kohls. It may change this year b/c we want a TV (21' or 26') and we are hoping Target has a good deal, we've kinda already ruled out BB b/c I don't want to wait in line on TG morning! So it might go Target, BB, Walmart, but I guess once the ads all come out I'll know for sure!
zim05 Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 I have to see the ads first, but you can bet that Target and Sears are on the top of the list! (We avoid WM at all cost if we can)!BF is the ONLY time of the year that I will go to Walmart and even that is a nightmare sometimes. But its been easier to get Nitendo DSes, Digital Cameras, etc... there, since its a 24hrs store. Plus last year they had a heck of a lot of cheap DVDs!
angelbabymommy Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 WalMart first, then our local gallery (we go to KMart in there first).
len_mullen Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Depends on the ads and the lines. I'm not interested in pitching a tent I've started at Kohls once and Staples every other year. Probably start at Staples again this year. Their deals are pretty good, they handle the line well, and the line never gets *too* long. I could also see myself outside Radio Shack. Walmart has long lines but moves people and merchandise as well as it can be done. The other Big Boxes are further away and the lines are bigger, so there is no chance I will begin at a CC or a BB.
msl94 Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 I am in agreement with those who wait for the ads first. In the past, my wife would wait at either KB Toys or Toys R Us, while I would wait at either Best Buy or Staples.
LondonAtDark Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 I have to see what my DD9 would want and see the ad's and go from there. She is the only 10 year old who wants bedding and domestics for her birthday (Oct 25) and Christmas...
iggypop123 Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 (edited) its always between best buy circuit city and Fry's Edited August 25, 2008 by iggypop123
mgmckny Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 I might be back camping out at Best BUy this year. Still not 100% though.
steph3306 Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 we usually go to walmart so we can wait inside where it is warm. We get there early so we can grab the thing we want to price match and then off to target. We will have to wait until the adds come out.:)
ChristmasShopping Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 It really depends on the ads but this year I need lots of electronics so it will be Best Buy or maybe Wal-mart depending. I have started at every where from Target, Macys, and even Pep Boys!
JennG Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 I will do tru, target, best buy (all 3 are in the same shopping center) and then drive to sears or kohl's..
Spotted1 Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 If its like last year.. it'll be walmart, and i'll be price matching kbtoys while I'm there.
cassgurlie04 Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 its been walmart in the past, but it will be whoever has the best deal on whatever my top dollar items are:cheesy:
Miss Star Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 It used to always be Walmart but the past couple they haven't had much worth going for. Last year our first store was Kmart then onto Target and Walgreen's
toninjack Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 we usually go to walmart so we can wait inside where it is warm. We get there early so we can grab the thing we want to price match and then off to target. We will have to wait until the adds come out.:)That's what I do too!!
KristeeMom2OneGirl Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Best Buy usually for the doorbusters. Then maybe Walmart. But this year we have a new BB&B and Circuit City right across the highway from Best Buy so we'll see how their deals fare!
sunni0913 Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 I go to Kmart first because it usually starts their sale an hour before Walmart. Then we head to WalMart. Since its a 24 hour store we go right in and stand where we need to be.
carheel Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 the first place we hit is walmart, and then from there who knows
BrotherFlounder Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Circuit City. After that, it'll depend on the ads, but last year my brother and our friend went to Sears and Gamestop while I went to Home Depot and Target.
aerosmithgirl Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Well, the past 2 years, It's been Wal-Mart first because they are open 24 hours to pricematch my DVD's, CD's, etc. Then, I head to Target because I'm out of there within 30 minutes and wait until Target opens. Then next door to Best Buy and then to the mall stores. I guess it depends on the ads for me.
nick_jenni_jocelyn Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 the last couple of years, i have gone back to WM later in the day only to find that they still had EVERYTHING left and since Target was a madhouse last year, i will go there first, then walmart and lowes.
berry1014 Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 I will be going to Walmart first as that is the only store in my area and it looks like I will have to work that day so I will be unable to travel to other stores to go shopping.
