Tracy72 Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 I wished I like the smell of Ivory....my mil uses this and I always give it to her if hubby buys it...lol.

Guiou1 Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 I was seriousl considering this until I found out that shipping is $16.40, Yikes!
Rockfordmom Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 96 bars of soap would weigh a lot & if you really got 96 bars it still wouldn't be too bad, comes out to .18 cents per bar
Gertrudegrandma Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 i ORDERED IT thanks ill let u know if it comes
mal Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 Does it give me shipping costs after I enter CC details? I do have amazon prime.. thx
hpowers Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 used soap?????Hey, my dad showed me the place where they use to get used bread. All I could say was, you were poor, dad. I'm pretty sure he meant day old bread, but hey, it's a memory I'll never forget!
elena_398 Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 I dont use bars of soap. We use liquid. But it seems like a good deal if you do
mom2monkiesx3 Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 Yep I agree even after the shipping it is STILL a good deal . Ivory irritates my skin for some reason...it must be the fragrances. We use Aveeno Oatmeal soap since my youngest 2 have excema.. Dh thinks Ivory soap is cool because it floats and explodes in the microwave (Don't ask me HOW he knows that!) LOL
Kayakmom Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/images/G/01/ciu/f6/af/47a979edd7a05b963db67110._AA250_.L.jpg LOL. It floats!
tlock1945 Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 My dd was looking at a book the other day and said "can we buy this kind of soap? It floats." I said, honey that is just a drawing...soap doesn't float! LOL I guess I have to admit I was wrong and go buy her some Ivory.
mom2monkiesx3 Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/images/G/01/ciu/f6/af/47a979edd7a05b963db67110._AA250_.L.jpg LOL. It floats!LOL can you find an ad about it "Explodes in the microwave?" Hey it could make a great science experiment maybe?!? lol

wdotdiddlysquat Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 Yep it really does float! Even with a little army guy standing on it This is the only kind of soap we use at our lake place (keep a bar on the dock in case someone needs to wash up). It's the only kind we've ever found to float!
goddard712 Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Just bought it. Thanks! I wont need soap for a couple years now!:yup:

jdoug Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Look at the 1 review on this product!!!! SO FUNNY! LOLI just saw that too!
alexac Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 I don't have a basement...or a garage... and my storage unit outside is packed with clearance christmas stuff.
Rayny Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Yep I agree even after the shipping it is STILL a good deal . Ivory irritates my skin for some reason...it must be the fragrances. We use Aveeno Oatmeal soap since my youngest 2 have excema.. Dh thinks Ivory soap is cool because it floats and explodes in the microwave (Don't ask me HOW he knows that!) LOLActually, this may be true, but you'd probably have to leave it in the microwave for a really long time. Have your son (edited, OPPS, hubby lol) watch this video. http://www.stevespanglerscience.com/experiment/00000053 You'll have to click the video link from the above link. I just happened to run across it while looking for the history of Ivory soap. LOL You can see that here at snopes:http://www.snopes.com/business/origins/ivory.asp BTW, Ivory really dries the skin. My mom bought it when we were younger, but I can't buy it now. Like many others, we use liquid soap for the moisturizing properties. Agree that it's a great deal for those who use it though.
