  1. These are some really great prices. I have bought my kids so much since Christmas that I think I'm going to have to pass on this tonight. Till tomorrow though, I may decide to get that blue sweatshirt for my son. He only got 7 new ones since Christmas and MANY other items besides sweatshirts. Hollister has some great in store sales for anyone who is interested, too. I picked up a $100 sweatshirt for $40 last week.
  2. I got a really good deal on a backpack. It seems everything out was out of stock in the sizes and/or colors I'd be interested in, but my son really needed a new backpack and this was a great find. * Fox * Cyborg Backpack * Item #:4855789 * Size:NO SIZE * Color:BLACK $58.99 1 $17.70 Merchandise: $17.70 Promotional Discount: - $10.00 Shipping: $5.00 Tax: $0.76 Subtotal: $13.46 Thanks OP and cr8on
  3. Thanks! I'm going to go check it out. I must have been in the sale section.
  4. Maybe I am not understanding this right. Is the price showing the 70% off, or do you get an additional 70% off the price that initially shows up in your cart? EDIT: I'm just not understanding how some of you are getting items for $5.00 and $6.00 when my shipping alone is $5.00. I can't however get the price to drop by anymore than the $10 off from the code the OP gave. That still puts sweatshirts that I'm looking at around $15 or so. I'm not complaining, that's a low price for a $50-$60 item, but I'm just not understanding how some are getting their items for around the costs of my shipping.
  5. I wish someone would put the ones I want on sale.
  6. Just be aware of what you're buying. I bought this sweatshirt for my daughter for Christmas at the store and it was $20. http://shop.pacsun.com/sale/girls-view-all-sale/Do-It-Right-Hoodie/index.pro I also picked up this shirt for I think around $8.50. http://shop.pacsun.com/sale/girls-view-all-sale/Scripture-Long-Sleeve-Tee/index.pro
  7. I think with most of the stores I was in, the stores had the first cuts a week before Christmas, and a lot of the inventory was moved during that time. I didn't see much that I was interested in yet on the 23rd, but I did find a few items here and there.
  8. These are really some unbelievable figures. And to think, they did it will retaining their great customer service. I didn't order a lot from there myself, but what I did order wasn't cheap.
  9. Well, that's not a horrible price, but if you're in a state that doesn't pay tax thru Amazon, you can have it for $200 shipped if you take the free shipping. To the OP, I'd have to run a search, but I was on a site late last night that included a link to buy a 20 gig hard drive for $29 (dunno about shipping and tax), for anyone who bought the arcade bundle. I was interested because we picked up an arcade bundle when we got the 3 rings of death from our other system. Hubby didn't want to go without his console while it was sent back for repairs. Now hubby wants a hard drive to set the 2nd system up in the basement.
  10. I think it's the Arcade bundle too. I just looked at the Garmin GPS systems at Fingerhut and they won't even give you the model. I've never liked Fingerhut because they've always been so overpriced, but it's pathetic when you don't put the model of a product in the write up. It tells me, they just don't want anyone comparing prices. They're just hoping to get someone that's gullible enough to buy blindly, and/or, someone who needs to do it on the payment plan.
  11. Unless it's changed in price since you posted, it's only selling for 20%. And no, at that price, I do not believe it's a good deal. Fingerhut is saying this retailed for $450, but really isn't saying it comes with anything if it does. It doesn't even state if it comes with a hard drive. The arcade bundle retails for $200, but has no hard drive. The Pro bundle comes with a 20 gig hard drive and retails for $250. The Elite (which this is not) comes with a 120 gig hard drive, a few other upgrades, and is for now anyway, is always black in color. The Xbox 360 Elite system retails for $399 everywhere, unless of course a store is giving some other package deal. I say, visit Amazon and pay retail (and get free shipping and possibly no tax) and you'll probably make out better, AND know exactly what you're getting.
  12. Merry Christmas all. I'm glad those of you who were able to pick this up found it. For those of us who don't have little ones though, a biscuit for $99 is a LOT of money. I honestly thought it was a typo and was suppose to read, $0.99.
  13. I'm still waiting on 2 GPS units I ordered from Amazon last week. In stores, I'm still hoping to find a Wii fit, but it's not likely to happen at this point.
  14. I bought 2 Garmin Nuvi 350 GPS units from Amazon. For the price of $150.00 each, you couldn't touch most of the lesser systems in the stores I've been in. Amazon also saved on sales tax since PA customers don't have to pay tax (I know this isn't the case for everyone). Shipping I won't count because I wouldn't have paid shipping in store anyway. The single best deal was getting Rock Band 2 for $109. That's a savings of $80 and while it's probably not the best savings % wise that I've had this Christmas season, it's a huge savings considering this package just released not long ago. That's a rarity in the video game industry.
  15. Well, it sounds like you really cashed in. What a fantastic price. Heck, even without the $25 gift card, it's still a great price. I guess TRU is backing the sale afterall (and now I am wishing I'd have at least made the attempt, but we were tired). If it's sold out in your area though, It's worth the try if anyone is still looking for it. I'm looking for a Wii Fit now. I coulda had one at Amazon last week, but I stalled 10 minutes not sure that I wanted to get it. I decided I did, but it was too late. Then yesterday, my 17 year old daughter started talking about wanting to start exercising and finding it hard to find motivation (no knowledge that the Wii exists even), and I have regretted not taking advantage of it when I had the chance.
  16. In this week's circular for Toys R Us, they have Rock Band 2 for $109 (I believe this is the amount, if not exact, it's close), plus a $25 gift card. I had been on another board and I found out that Walmart would price match it (and this is the full set, the limited edition set that's almost $200). Since we have no Toys R Us in our town, they wouldn't price match for the town that was an hour away. So, we were finally able to get up there tonight. On the other board, the posters were saying that their Walmart also included the $25 gift card, but this Walmart was unwilling to do that, but they did sell it to it for the $109 price. It was such a deal that a manager had to come and put in her code since the discount was so much. On the other board, some posters said their Walmart had to call Toys R Us and make sure they were still in stock, but the Walmart I was in tonight never called. They just matched the price (minus the gift card). I didn't even attempt to go to Toys R Us, but the posters had been saying it was a misprint at Toys R Us and they were not selling them at that price. That, I have no knowledge of, but it's worth a shot if anyone is still looking to pick it up. You cannot buy it for the Wii though. It has to be Xbox 360 or PS3. Perhaps you could exchange it after making the purchase, but I really don't know it it's something you could do or not.
  17. If this is the model you want, this is the cheapest I've seen it yet. Almost every store had it for $99.00 on Black Friday, but since that time, I've not seen it for under like $130. I finally broke down and ordered two of the Garmin 350s two days ago. I didn't get them at this price, but I think it's the better model for what I wanted for my kids.
  18. They no longer have it, so now if you want it, you have to buy it from a company they deal with.
  19. I don't know if they still have them or not, but Amazon had them in a few hours ago.
  20. Thank you all for the responses. My kids are pretty petite, so sizing of the ear pieces matters a lot and I wouldn't have even considered that. As freesia has said, we didn't get headphones with ours either. I'm wondering, laddhorn, if when you purchase your phones, if it's not the retailer tossing in some freebies (headphones possibly being among them) for you to buy your phone thru them? When we've bought, we have gotten freebies, but we usually take the car chargers, carrying cases, etc... I don't recall headphones of any kind ever being an option and we too have had LGs for years; among other brands like Samsung as well. Since the freebies come from the retailer, they're always the same no matter what brand of phone we purchase. I do think I"m going to look at the ones that have the earpiece for the outside of the ear rather than the earbuds. Thanks again everyone.
  21. Thanks. This was right over $40 yesterday. I've been watching it hoping it would go down.
  22. I've read so much about the risks of using cell phones that I'd like to get my kids each a headset for their phones. My son has an enV and my daughter has the Voyager. I've been looking at them, but to be frankly honest, I have no idea what I need. I keep reading noise reduction, this feature, that feature, and on, and on..... The only requirements really are that it be safer than a cell and that it have a pretty long battery life (my son spends a lot of time on his phone - my daughter, not so much). I guess clarity is also important, but I see no reason that they won't have their phone right there with them, so being able to extend a reach from 30 feet away (for example), isn't a requirement. Adding the possibility of using it in the car might be a nice advantage too, but not a deal breaker. It's not like they'd be talking while driving anyway and if someone calls and they start messing around with trying to get a headset in place while driving, well at that point, I think I'd pull their licenses anyway. Still, if it's a bonus feature, it may come in handy at some point. Anyone have any advice at all?
