I got the 32" sylvania and 26" olevia from kmart for less than $1000. For about the same price as the ones at costco you can get a 47" and 26" from kmart.

Sorry, it's a 42" at kmart and it's a plasma. :)

Plasma is better quality anyway.

I wouldn't rate Olevia, Sylvania, or Magnavox in the group of TV's that I would buy though. I would definatly rate Vizio higher.

The picture quality of the Olevia is better than the Vizio, imo.

We looked at all the tv's at walmart and kmart before thanksgiving. The olevia had the best picture by far out of all the brands they had.

I like my Sylvania 32". The picture is great and I would rank it up there with the rest of the higher brands.

Its all about personal preference. Look at them in the store. Dont look at brand. Also you have to realize that you can adjust the brightness and contrast etc so take that into consideration.

I agree (but my own opinion/preference)... We have a Vizio, and the picture is great. It was the best out of all the tvs we looked at in the price range. The sound isn't the best when it's up high, but we have a sound system anyhow and I wouldn't trade the price or the quality we got for it. Everyone needs to like what they buy--and we all differ in our likes...;)

As for looking at tv's in store for comparison it doesn't really do much when you take into consideration it all depends on what settings each tv is on, what input is being used, how many times they have split the same feed to plug into all their tv's, etc. My friend had a tv he was complaining about and he made comments about mine being better blah blah blah and I came over and reconfigured his and now he is fine with his. Just play around with them almost all lcd/plasma/blah blah blah versions give awesome picture.
