I was going to just go play games like crazy until I found out you have to pay like 10 or 20 to play them and then spend a ridiculous amount of time on there to get the points.

I thought the same thing until my friend was on msn.com playing those stupid games that you get "real cash prizes" for and his wife has like 3600 points on there of which she could turn in 3100 for a black wireless headset:cheesy: I want black accessories so bad! When I saw that I was like dude hook me up you don't even have an xbox and he said how much is it worth to ya the jerk. lol. I'm guessing Microsoft is waiting to release the black accessories so that elite owners get impatient buy white accessories and then when they release them get the same people to buy the black accessories so they can make double money, since you know that will happen to some people who like to throw their money away.

I am looking for a black wireless headset, fan stand, quick charge station (not nyko), and just any other black accessory made for the xbox elite. I all ready have 4 controllers.

I would have thrown each kids presents in one box that way I would have had to just wrap 4 boxes lol.

As for looking at tv's in store for comparison it doesn't really do much when you take into consideration it all depends on what settings each tv is on, what input is being used, how many times they have split the same feed to plug into all their tv's, etc. My friend had a tv he was complaining about and he made comments about mine being better blah blah blah and I came over and reconfigured his and now he is fine with his. Just play around with them almost all lcd/plasma/blah blah blah versions give awesome picture.

the elite has to some bugs to work out but my friends have them and they have had no problems its just hit or miss and they need TLC to be good for you as any 360 does.

I also just want to throw out there that there is a rumored new xbox 360 version coming out late 2008 or ealry 2009 that is "supposedly" going to have dual HDtv tuners, a dock for a zune, and better performance as of what kind or how not sure, but I'm waiting.

I'm also working on a BB rebate and of course am a complete n00b here too.

its all good i'm pretty quick so I could tell you were messing with me (not that it wasn't obvious). I'm new at this rebate stuff since I normally avoid rebates. I started the online rebate thing the same day but I thought i still had to send stuff in is this incorrect?

yes wireless controller. a actual hdmi port. I wouldn't touch the core or arcade system with a ten foot pole and I've owned 2 premium systems happily. Oh another note make sure that on xmas when your kid sets it up that he places it on a surface that is preferably hard (where air can go under the system, as in not on a table cloth since the cloth would block air flow) and well ventilated due to the fact that 360's are known for overheating. I never set mine in the upright position until I had a fan stand. A fan stand is definately a good purchase to throw in for piece of mind. If you get the ring of death (three red lights) shut off system asap and leave it alone for a couple of hours (until it cools) before messing with it. PM me for any questions I'll be able to help.

receipt is the proof of purchase right?

so I've got everything except the upc.. that is just the sticker with the barcode and number on it right.

So I have a rebate for a chair that I bought at staples, but after reading the receipt I'm still kinda confused about what all I need to send in. Does anyone know what all I have to send in?

well I don't know if the comment I just made was "against the rules" if it was my bad I didn't know...

So I can't really justify spending more money on myself at the moment or spending any money for that matter, but do you guys think these would resell very well since that's the only way I could justify it. Which ones do you think would if I did buy for this purpose?

You need to write a letter to corporate about that with a list of the managers name and the store location.

I went to staples this year and picked up their samsung color laser printer for 99.99, a leather managers office chair for 49.99 (sitting in it), and a navigon 2100 w/ 3.5 in. screen for 99.99, good deals to say the least. The only thing I didn't like was the way they did the tickets. Its awesome that they allow until 10am for redemption of the tickets that were handed out, but I waited for an hour and a half to get the chair because they said the tickets were given out and it wasn't 10am yet, but it was a pretty hot item and the other 6 that they had were picked up all in about 2 seconds. In the end I asked where their display unit was and when I found it the ticket was sitting on it. I thought it was rediculous since I told the manager that the person either got the ticket and just left for good or decided that they didn't want it and threw the ticket away. I think that if they are going to be sticklers about holding off for redemptions then they need to have a person that is setup near the door to get back tickets that people decide they don't want to use, would have saved me almost 3 hours (the line took 2 hours after I had the item)

I feel you on the line waiting dude. All though I would rather have had to deal with a 3 hour line wait than having 11 people line jump infront of me when we were there for like 3 hours longer than they were. The worst part was there were to teenage girls behind us that were waiting there for one of the laptops for their mom (the only item they needed) and all the guys that jumped in took all of them. I wanted to beat them down so bad but with a cop roaming I wasn't taking a chance.

I don't think people in my area are that hardcore its snowing/raining and well last year i showed up at like 5am (not kidding) and got a doorbuster.

all right I guess I'll go for one of those gps setups now to decide to go to circuit city or best buy... hmmm.

she would dig a wii but I can't get my hands on one, as far as any other game system she could care less so I was once again out of ideas.

I've been thinking about the gps its just I don't see her with wide eyes in joy of opening a gps or photo frame. She would be crazy over a tv. I want to do it, but it just seems stupid of me to spend all my money and then be guessing whether or not I can make bills next month.

So the only thing I know my mom wants is a hdtv but after looking and looking I realized I can't really afford one. I mean I could but it would take all my money and being in college i don't want to be completely broke, plus we set a $100 limit. I can go over the limit, but I don't have any other ideas. Anyone got any?
