meo Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 I'm looking to cover wood floors with a nice middle-eastern rug of sorts...the one I love is found here: http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Ancestry-Tan-Ivory-Wool-Rug-8-x-10/2561845/product.html I need a large (9 or 10 ft preferably) rug as this will be the sitting area in the family room...any better places to look out there? As for "authenticity" I'm not too too concerned; I just need a nice floor covering for as cheap as possible (the floors are killing my budget). Thanks!!
scrabbler Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 I have found wonderful luck at Pier 1. This summer I found an 8x10 rug for 75% off...and this fall I found another 5x8 for 75 off with an extra 20 off. Thinner, less pricey ones can be found at Target etc. I found my first rug for under 100 at Kmart. Then the more I looked the more I could find the bargains. But it is hit and miss and they are sooooo expensive!
kbrady2 Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Lowes has some great prices on rugs.. just look around!
jelee3 Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 I agree with LOwe's or HOme Depot. HOme Goods also has them.
tntsmomie Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Our Lowe's had a bunch on clearance a few weeks ago. My mom grabbed a HUGE one for half price.
nat1jen Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Have you tried Marshall's, TJ Maxx or Home Goods?
mkai22 Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 I have looked all over. I thikn Overstock.com is the best option w/ the largest selection

Sarah Gagnon Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 Nebraska Furniture has a ton of rugs. I was over whelmed! The one I went to had a lot of them on sale.
love a deal Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 Sams has really nice ones from time to time.
scrapwave Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 LOL...I first read this as Where to buy a big RIG..and I was thinking why would you want to with fuel prices what they are?? LOL! My dh owns and operates his own truck and fuel is outrageous. For some reason I read that as big rig instead of big rug. LOL! Hope you find a RUG. :)
