  1. Which store? I've hit union more often bc it seems to have better clearance than powers (both).
  2. Aww, thanks! It's amazing how much you can live without when you don't have Target or Walmart to run to all the time.
  3. Was in today (been overseas for three years!) and did some perusing....felt good! Found garden/patio furniture on deep discount, but wondering if it will go lower...about 60% off now. Anyone have any input?
  4. Which hanes are these? My DS only likes the ones without the elastic on the outside -- the ones where the elastic is hidden in the waistband; I think they only sell them in 3pks tho, so I'm doubting these are the ones we need:(
  5. I tried on a bazillion different kinds from all different stores and found the Payless ones to be the most comfortable...they're Airwalk. I love them, esp around pool time and gardening. My daughter wore thru hers and we had to get her another pair. My son, on the other hand, I don't know if it's his skin or what, but when he wore them, his feet got all ate up, so he wears regular sandals now. Try on different brands; Crocs just didn't feel all that comfy to me. Neither did the price. LOL
  6. My kids are infomercial afficianados too...when I bought them at bed bath and beyond, my 7yo said "good, so now our carrots will sound like this *snap* instead of looking like this (bending motion)" ***sigh*** I like them; I like salad, but not every day; so right now I have peppers in one, strawbs in another, romaine in a third and celery in a fourth in my veggie drawer. Not a bad deal for $10 when you consider how much goes down the disposal after going bad, kwim?
  7. I think I could spend all day in the cream and cheeses aisle...*sigh*
  8. How funny -- I guess Tesco is making it's US debut on the west coast? I miss tesco from our days in england. They had the best selection of creams!
  9. I had a soccer game out at Farmers in bern. It was insane; I was going to stop at Target on my way home, but was just wiped after the 50+ and 6ft tumbleweed-dodging game; which store is yours?
  10. seriously?? You're wearing shorts??!! LOL!!! I'm still freezing. Which target are you looking in? I'm heading to Paseo/I25 today...I'll let you know. I'm on the lookout for a space heater too for the living/dining combo room that never warms up b/c all the heat is upstairs...
  11. I got mine at big lots this time last year for about $45 -- it's only the 10x10 or maybe 12x12 (it covers up our hot tub pad and then some) -- they were all on sale
  12. Oh, I've always wanted one of those!!! I love to cook too, and my whiskey barrell is right now full of kindling until it warms up a bit...can't wait until it's safe to plant...my veggie garden is going to be double the size it was last year in ohio...woohoo!
  13. I stopped in to price adjust on hercules hangars today -- got my adjustment (bought them for $14.99 on friday, saw them for 9.99 today...) -- but there was NEXT to nothing for v-day, and the global bazaar was picked clean too. Nothing even tempted me today...that's really odd for me...LOL
  14. I got two wall murals, reg priced $27 for $1 each...they were 50% off, and the guy asked me if $1 was fair or not...LOL. This was after a nice conversation with him about the "always kiss me goodnight" mural that I couldn't find...so he priced the other two down for me ("the princess sleeps here" for dd and "Sleep...Imagine....Dream" for ds. But then the other day I saw a showerhead like I've been looking for; it was just laying on one of the clearance carts; no box, no nothing; he looked it up, $35 and said he would do 1/2 off...WTH??!! LOL. No thanks
  15. sorry -- I duped 0---- I'll go erase now...
  16. I bought my hubby one at Sams Club for $80 -- it's a bulldog, but when his remote crapped out on him, we couldn't get anyone at the company to save our lives -- it was like they'd gone out of business. He finally bought a new one on ebay and swapped out the remotes...but we do love it. I had one on my Saturn for 4yrs and miss it SOOOOOOOO...
  17. I'm looking to cover wood floors with a nice middle-eastern rug of sorts...the one I love is found here: http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Ancestry-Tan-Ivory-Wool-Rug-8-x-10/2561845/product.html I need a large (9 or 10 ft preferably) rug as this will be the sitting area in the family room...any better places to look out there? As for "authenticity" I'm not too too concerned; I just need a nice floor covering for as cheap as possible (the floors are killing my budget). Thanks!!
  18. My school supplies haven't started yet and our kids started the 14th of August -- tho the backpacks and lunch boxes are at 30%...I'll wait until later this week and grab up a couple for next year (we decided to do new backpacks/lunchboxes every other year). Nothing else notable; I even scanned the lego fire set; 55.99.
  19. I was wondering the same thing -- we have only one polly pockets, and the flying one -- just started enjoying them...(that's sarcasm, btw) -- my 4yo really digs them...yippee...
  20. I've had my eye out but so far all I've seen is Cars, Spiderman and Pirates...I'd love to find one for my son; thanks!
  21. I got lucky yesterday -- standing int he patio section of target when the red shirts started appearing out of nowhere...they were beginning the markdown to 75% off...woohoo! I got the patio rug I was waiting on for $22 instead of 79.99. I followed her around and then finally brought the rug over and asked her to scan/price it for me (had to get going) I also got some great toys for dd birthday -- doodle bear for $7.48; my kids have been bugging me for one of those forever but I refused to pay $20 for it. Lots of polly pocket stuff for $6 and $7 or so. Kids outdoor went to 75% too -- those cute wellies, kittycat umbrellas for $2.48, etc. I'm done with birthday shopping for $27!! Now I can splurge on the kiddie digital camera b/c I saved a ton on the "little gifts"
  22. Thanks for this -- I just got our list and am trying to decide if paying the PTA is worth it (they have a thing here where you can pay $35 to the PTA and they'll do the shopping for you and have the bag with stuff in your kids desk on the first day of school)
  23. I went looking for these yesterday, and couldn't find anything higher than 600...I was bummed.
  24. Craigslist is nice, in theory, but it's just not "old enough" for me; I like the security that ebay affords; maybe it's all an illusion, but I just feel safer doing business over there. If ebay really wanted to throw us a bone, they'd do "commission free" days...where they don't take the comission off your items listed on that day -- or better yet, they donate to the charity of your choice --
  25. Found it, thanks! ANNNNNND, good part is you can list them all now, and set the listing to begin at 12:01am, and get the rate (I chatted with an ebay tech to find out for sure) -- not sure what tomorrow will bring, so getting it all set up while I can! -- thanks again!
