BoulderChick Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 Hi Everyone, As I was packing up my parents package I realized "Only 15 days until Christmas day!" which also means 14 more shopping days and 12 days to ship and recieve packages. I found this on the USPS website. For gifts and cards to arrive on time, barring any weather delays. You should send out by the dates below. In the U.S Letters and Cards Priority Mail® Express Mail® Parcel Post® Dec 20 Dec 20 Dec 22 Dec 15 Happy Holidays!
christib327 Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 AHHHHHH! No. I hadn't even thought about it too much!! I haven't even got my tree up. Much less got all of the gifts brought up out of the basement to start wrapping..or baking started.....I guess I'd better get started on SOMETHING this evening.
mcapel4444 Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 No I can't. I don't have alot left to do though. Almost all of my presents are bought & wrapped. I need to still wrap the stocking stuffers & organize a bit. We still need to finish decorating our house though. And we are doing most of the baking this weekend.
freesia39 Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 ugh. i went shopping last night, and i only was able to find 2 gifts. i'm absolutely STUCK on my parents, my sister, my future in laws, and my future sister in law.
conj Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 hee hee I stopped at the mall to grab something and there were cars parked EVERYWHERE. I had FORGOTTEN people go to the mall for Xmas... we've done so much online this year!
BoulderChick Posted December 11, 2007 Author Posted December 11, 2007 hee hee I stopped at the mall to grab something and there were cars parked EVERYWHERE. I had FORGOTTEN people go to the mall for Xmas... we've done so much online this year!I know what you mean. 90% off my shopping has been finished for a while. So when DH and I went to Target yesterday in the afternoon, there were a TON of people. I knew they would be busy, but Wow!!! Now there were a lot of people buying salt and shovels for the snow(6-8 inches over the weekend and we're on the border of recieving either 3-6" or 5-10" of snow tonight and all day tuesday) and the sleds were sold out. You would think people that live in Colorado would have already purchased these items.I decided that when I pick up some items from Whole Foods for Christmas, that I will be there when they open at 7:30am. Because they are always soo busy, especially this time of year. Happy Holidays!
leefamily23 Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 I cannot believe it. Usually by now I'm 90-95% done w/ my shopping w/ all I've bought wrapped. I usually have my Christmas cards sent, and I'm thinking of making Christmas cookies. This year--I've got maybe on the high side 20% of my shopping done. I've got 1/2 of that wrapped. We didn't put up outdoor lights or decorations (no time), we didn't do Christmas cards yet and I doubt we will. Oh, and baking.....yeah right. To be fair though--- in November I moved on the 9th, my grandmother passed away unexpectedly on the 10th. So, here I was waist high in boxes and I was useless. Then we had all my inlaws over for Thanksgiving. There I was on Thanksgiving eve baking desserts and still unpacking at midnight. So--I've had an unusually rough November, so there was no pre-prepping done this year. I'm thinking the next 15 day's are just going to fly because I have so much to do. We have my immediate inlaw family Christmas dinner & gift exchange on the 21st and my immediate families same thing on the 22nd--- so really- our holiday begins then.
ms_mckenna Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 Blah apparently I am becoming the Chirstmas procrastinator lol. I have 2 presents bought. A lightening mcqueen for DFS and a Troy barbie for DFD. I am SO behind. DH and I are shopping this weekend while the 2 youngest are gone, we have already said. Course we are only buying for our 4 kids this year, we already agreed with his family that we were not exchanging gifts.
jarerice Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 i am so excited about christams this year! I can't wait! I feel like a kid again!
Shortness Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 I'm starting to get a little panicky. I was great in getting out GD's Christmas cards, but I have done none for family/friends I normally send to. I still have to buy for a couple people whose gifts need to be mailed, and I don't have a clue as to what to send them. I thought I was so great for getting my kids and dh taken care of so quickly. Ha!
pampam Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 November was brutal and I have no Christmas spirit. The tree isn't up, there are no decorations in the house and all I've bought is treats for friends' pets. On line shipping deadlines are coming up quickly so I'll have to spend Tuesday in front of the computer doing my shopping. Bleh.
Scanner420 Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 Have my kids finished, but haven't started with my wife or parents yet. I'll get to it when I get to it.
doublehsmom Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 I have 11 more people to buy for and dh gets his x mas bonus this week and we are going to FINISH shopping and then we might stay in a hotel so I was thinking that we would wrap everything while we were there and then when we get home everything is done! YAY!
copados1993 Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 I can't believe it's almost Christmas already. I still have soooo much that needs to be done. I have been subbing almost everyday so it makes it very hard to get things done. I am hoping that this weekend and next Monday I can try to finish things up. Thank goodness for shopping online LOL!!
Jennifer0530 Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 I don't even want to think about it. I'm still waiting on several presents to come in that I ordered online and I haven't wrapped anything yet. Hope to get all the wrapping done this weekend while the kiddos are at Grandpa's house.
elena_398 Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 I was 100% done, but now Im doubting my Mother-in-laws gift. I may pick something up as an add on. Not sure what as yet though.
