Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think there was a bigger problem with Lowe's last year. I don't know about tools, but wasn't there a television...........maybe lcd advertised that people lined up & waited for only to find out there were none available? Supposedly, employees were aloud to by them before customers who lined up waiting for the store to open. I also think the stock was very limited (under 5 per store). Am, I wrong? Wasn't it Lowe's that did this? I will not be wasting my door buster time there.
It was Home Depot that had the TV's last year.

I know they had a tool box last year, maybe the year before and a De-Walt drill my DS wanted. I am sure they had a few others also but my mind is blank at the moment
Thank you. DH is wanting a DeWalt set and I am hoping to see that on sale.

I dont know if it was last year or not, but I know that one year Lowes had a shop-vac for like $20 and I believe it was a good sized one. I am hoping they have one again this year since now with 2 kids, i seem to clean out the cars a lot more and dont like to use my house vacuum, lol.
That would be awesome! DH wants one of those too!
Funny story, we live in San Diego and a couple of weeks ago it was really hot and we have no A/C in our house so we went to walk around Lowes. I told him to give me ideas for Christmas, now I have a whole page of things he wants there! LOL

I got the shop vac last year and I don't recall but I must have seen it here, because I specifically went there for that. The size was very large and Dh LOVED it, totally wasn't expecting it!

I know that Lowes was one of my stops last year. I got a curved shower curtain ( <- shaped like that so it gave you more room in the shower. I also picked up some poinsettias (they were like $1.66 each) and a cutting board.
They didn't have a ton of great deals, but there were NO lines when I went there around 6:30 am last year.
I also picked up the Poinsettias along with a gas grill for $69ish if I recall. I may have picked up a crock pot (larger one too) for $9.99 along with 5x7 rugs for $19.99. Not real busy but for what I wanted good deals.

The shopvac was $29. I bought it for my parents for Christmas. They love it. I THINK it was this one last year:
http://www.lowes.com...0-11&lpage=none
They sold out of the ones on the floor and I walked down the shop vac aisle and was able to find it on the top shelf. It was NOT a special BF model, it was a model they regularly carried in the store, just had to match the model number from the ad. So if they sell out on the pallet, check the shop vac aisle. Target usually has shop vac accessories clearance in the spring.
Lowe's had a toilet set for $30 or so (tank, bowl, no seat)
Drill set
tool sets
Poinsettas half price
LED flashlights (I think they were the no battery type)
storage bins (plastic, Tupperware variety)
boxes of firewood (GREAT deal on this, like 50-70% off, depending where you normally buy it)
pre-lit Christmas tree
extended financing and 0% interest on appliances
I'd like to say there were some bigger priced items in the ad for special pricing too but I can't guarentee. I remember walking down the aisle around some huge pallets of things I had no interest in.
Most people that get there at store opening are after the drill and tool sets.

biggest deal for us at lowes were the cases of logs for the fireplace............ $8.00 for a $20.00 case..
Same here. They have had this for the past 3-4 years, and we always pickup 6 cases. The cases of logs are going this year for around $28 up here, I may get more. I always make them my last stop and they always have plenty.

It was Home Depot that had the TV's last year.
I had no problem getting 1 of the 32" 1080I HD LCD's for $478 or whatever the price was last year. We hit Wal*Mart in Shrewsbury, PA1st & got all our 5 am specialswe wanted, then went across the street to Home Depot & got in line & when they opend at 6, we were 1 of the 1st 3 in the store & got the TV. They had 10 of the 32" & 10 of the 42". We were very happy with the deals we hit at Wal*Mart & Home Depot. 10 of each size of TV is a fair amount for a BF deal. The TV is great & what a great deal it was.

I was by Home Depot last year and through the door when they opened at 6 and didn't even get to see the TV. They were GONE!! Actually I did get to see the very last one being pulled onto a flat bed cart. HD must be busy regionally.
There was an article in our local paper (the Morning Call - Lehigh Valley, PA) about this exact same thing happening at the Home Depot in Whitehall, PA.
It seems that the employees and management bought the TVs for themselves **before** opening their doors on BF.
The customers never had a chance -- they were lining up outside in the cold for nothing!

We have this sitting in the laundry room right now.

As far as the TV's from Home Depot- I was wondering why Home Depot had tv's. I remember seeing it in the ad but not at the store. Maybe the employees got all of them??
