fairydustcrissy Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 Hmm...for my family that comes to $1494, and thier commercial says starting at $1600. This may be super hot! It really stinks about the dates tho...we usually go in Feb
kmennis Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 Magic Your Way Package - ZEY Magic Your Way Package + Dining - ZFC Does this mean you can get the dining plan included or pay separately for it? We had it included last September...saved us $800 and well worth it!
girlieeee Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 Thanks for the post! I am calling AAA tomorrow to change my reservation for May! I will get free hopper & waterpark for the same price!! YAY~
ms_mckenna Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 Very cool. We are looking at going next Dec. wish it was good for those dates. Tried to talk DH into going again in a few months and he laughed at me and said we just went in Novemeber lol. Would have been really cool to go again so soon lol.
Staci Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 Does this include air? The $1600 package I've seen on TV does. Hubby just said those dates would work for us, I'm checking into it tomorrow! Thanks
Just Me Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 We rented a house right outside the park. MUCH cheaper. We were there for Christmas. Rented a 3 bed 2 bath house 5 miles ffrom the main entrance to the park for $340 for a week. Had a washer and dryer and all. This allowed us to cook and save that way to
wdwmoose Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 Disneyland has 3-Day parkhoppers for the kids price. Actually it's for all parkhoppers 3days and up. Only lasts through mid-April, I Believe.
ms_mckenna Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 Does this include air? The $1600 package I've seen on TV does. Hubby just said those dates would work for us, I'm checking into it tomorrow! ThanksReally? I must have missed that. Cause I looked up and we were around that price but without airfare and that was at the Disney movie hotel the one with Woody outside it?
rabx5 Posted January 12, 2007 Author Posted January 12, 2007 Does this include air? The $1600 package I've seen on TV does. Hubby just said those dates would work for us, I'm checking into it tomorrow! ThanksI don't think so. I priced air through them for my trip and it was $1,500 for just 4 of us flying out of St. Louis As of now, we are driving because airfare is outrageous. I'm hoping for a good DING soon or for fare to drop a bit as we get closer to the date. My AAA agent did apply the changes to my ressy, but it was either or. I wanted the upgrade to the waterparks, so I lost my AAA room discount (you have to pay rack rate to get the deal) however, by dropping down to just a 7 day base ticket ( I was paying for a park hopper) the $$ difference covered the AAA room rate difference. It's confusing. See, when we got there, we were going to purchase water parks and more for my 2 teens for a few days- hubby and I have no interest. This saved me a couple hundred $$ with this new special. Also if you book with AAA during the month of January- you get a $25 Disney gift card too I'm too excited about this trip. WDW is my favorite place on earth Oooh, I forgot to mention- I have ressies to eat at Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom- It has all the Pooh characters- My Eeyore !!!

I mean where do you look to find houses/condos to rent
maritza68 Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 We are planning to go for my DD's 5th birthday for a week starting Sept 17th. wish this date was included.
conj Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 I stay with family in Orlando - it means a longer drive to get to the park, and noe of the perks of a hotel, but it is usually a much better deal :)
jrdoa Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 We are planning to go for my DD's 5th birthday for a week starting Sept 17th. wish this date was included. Maritza, we were in WDW the end of Sept and beginning of October in '06 and they were offering the free dining plan. Keep your eyes on mousesavers.com for any discounts or other Disney info. We found out about the deal on April 1st. Hope this helps.

jrdoa Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 Thanks for the info. How was the crowd during your stay? The crowds were minimal. We stayed at the Pop Century and the only aggravating part was waiting for the buses to take you to the park or resort. At times, it seemed like 30min - 1 hour.At the parks, the majority of the rides were maybe 10 minutes or less wait time. I would definately go back again that time of year.
amickeyfan Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Does this include air? The $1600 package I've seen on TV does. Hubby just said those dates would work for us, I'm checking into it tomorrow! ThanksI don't think the one you saw on TV includes the air. When ever Disney does a commercial, it is only for them, no air included. That $1600 commerical you saw was for a family of 4, 7 nights value resort & park tickets.

I would definately go back again that time of year.Yep, that time of the year is really good. The only time you have to watch in October is Columbus day. Most of the counties in Florida have that as a school holiday and that is when many who have Florida passes go. We were one of them and it was pretty crowded. But end of Sept and first week of Oct. is good because everyone is back in School up north by then! :)
disneynutangie Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 The commercial does not include air. If flying I would purchase it seperate from a Disney package. We go in February and I have gotten great rates during that time. This year we are going again in September and then December. I am and wishing for the free dinning plan but if not that is fine. I am kind of worried that if they do offer it the crowds will be heavy. It seems to be the tread of the past 2 years. Of course that is what Disney wants. I have seen rental homes and checked into it but never that cheap. Good deal!! For the majority of the ones I looked into were $900 which included private screened in pool. Don't remember the exact website but just google it. Check out www.disboards.com and mousesavers.com. You will find lots of helpful information.
ms_mckenna Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Just out of curiousity. We are planning a December trip ... I know Dec codes will not come out until Aug. For those of you that have booked thru disney before what is the deposit? Is it a % or a flat fee? I was thinking of going ahead and booking and then appling the code in August if there is one that will work for our dates just wondering how much I needed to set aside for a deposit? Nevermind found my answer. Is anyone else here going in Dec?
hammbone Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 We are going in July, we have rented a 6bedroom home in Windsor Hills Resort...Cheaper than a hotel ( they say they are the closest resort to disney) they are a gated community++, they have a pool with water slides, theater, playground, fitness area, you can rent townhouses, condos 2-7bedroom houses starting under 100 per night depending on the time of year. there are other resorts some much cheaper, but with all the ammenities this won hands down and during peak season we are around 225 per night, but sharing with other couples so it is soooo cheap!!! Just do searches for windsor hills resort they have several sites that have by owner or company rentals . I just tried to post on site so you could see property Sorry so long. http://www.allstarvacationhomes.com/
hammbone Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 also you might check out mousesvers.com for info discounts etc. http://www.mousesavers.com/also try travelzoo.com for cheap flights, hotels, packages
disneynutangie Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 I see MS Mekenna you found out it was $200. for deposit. We are going in September and as far as we know December. I really want to go during the Christmas season to see how nice it is decorated. Thing for us could change at any time as we are trying to have a baby. Another thing large family or anyone could do was rent points from DVC owners. It was going to cost a around $2700 a week at the Boadwalk for a 2 bedroom villa. Not bad at all when two families will split the cost. Not only will you save that way but you have the option of purchasing the dinning plan once checked in. I think it was $40. per adult per day which can be a huge savings. Many nights we spend $100.00 nearly just for dinner for the 3 of us.
ms_mckenna Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Ya we are trying to decide between Dec 07 and Dec 08. DH is making me rethink 07 lol. Talking about if we save for an extra year how much more bang we could get . Just wish I could go ahead and book 08 now . Going to try for a magic and a illumination boat ride though when we go would be cool to split it with a gder .

Deal Grabber Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Oh NM i just realized im in Emerald Island resort not Windsor Hills not sure what the difference in a Estate home and a resort home???Just another way to rob ya of ur money.LOL
Kayakmom Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 We went the week after Thanksgiving and rented DVC vacation points to stay at Villas at Old Key West. We had a 2BR and it was great. I was suspect of the transportation at first, but we didn't end up using our car the whole time we were there. It was great and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. The room rates for what we had are $540 a night, but we got it for $240 a night. We also got all of the 10 and 20% discounts and other benefits of being a member. Even though we were just there, I'd love to go back again. Maybe I'll tell hubby to return to work after I have the new baby so that we have some Disney vacation time again this year! I'm very tempted.
KiriJoan Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 For everyone that's going in December, makes sure to go to Very Merry Christmas at Disney. It's seperate from the regular passes because it happens at night (7-12). They serve free hot cocoa and cookies and it's really the best thing I've ever been to at Disney. Although, I live in Orlando so I sort of take Disney for granted. But it really is beautiful. They shoot off fire works by Cinderella's castle and tell a story of love and hope. My fiancee proposed there in '05. They usually run it from the last week in November until Christmas. They limit the event to only like 500 or 1000 so people, so the lines are VERY short. You can hit everything in the park up 2 or 3 times depending on if you stop to watch all the shows and parades. Which by the way, Minnie singing "Santa Baby" was adorable. That's my input!
