shopping mom Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 I actually got a pair of Paco jeans at Sears for free. They rang up a $0.00 and the cashier did not know what to do. I told him If they were ringing up at that price that was the price I wanted them for.( he knew I was teasing) However he said why not so I got 4 pairs of pants and a shirt for some of my DSs for 18.00.
bayhaysay Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Wow! Now that's a good deal! I may have to run buy sears today, lol. :)
he8765 Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 I've seen things ring up at 1 cent at Office Depot before, but I've never seen anything ring up as free at any store. You definitely got very lucky.
bamaprincess Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 I have actually had that happen at Sears before with kids clothes. The cashier said she didn't know how to fix it and let it go. I was shocked.
mesarobins Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Yeah that happened to me too at Sears on kids clearance clothes. Since it seems to be a common problem you'd think they would address it, but until they do lucky us!
JenT1292 Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Wow! What a deal. Every little bit helps during this time of year.
elena_398 Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 WOW now thats a deal. My son likes the Paco brand as well as JNCO and POLO. congrats.
lisamag Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 that is great, they probably haven't fixed it yet because none of the sales rep want to get in trouble for letting it go. did any of them get a manager? i've work in sales before and i don't know what i would do if something came up like that.
iluv2shop Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 Excellent deal. I need to start shopping at Sears.
alimfp Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 Sales associates are told to let most prices go. As long as the item isn't tools, electronics or the like, we were told to let it go for whatever incorrect price. Silly but true. Some associates still made a stink about extremely incorrect prices, but most of the time managers made them give the customer that item for the price it rang up anyway.
xslicricx Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 I work for Sears. If it rings up for 0(which just means it is clx out) then we are supposed to take 75% of the last sale price. The person who is marking clx in that store also isn't doing their job because we aren't supposed to have zero items on the floor. Sounds like some cashiers aren't being trained. Oh well good deal for you!
bellastarr Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Wow!! I think I would have went back and got every pair!
sven_kirk Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 When I was working a Staples, when/if they had a 1 cent item, it was to be destroyed. Don't know why.
