  1. WalMarts price-match policy. 'Store managers make the final decision in always taking care of our customers, but we do have guidelines for matching our competition. * We do honor "Preferred Shopping Card" advertised prices. Must be like items, be advertised and require a competitor's shopping card, for the discount to apply. * We do not honor advertisements that require a purchase in order to receive the advertised price or free product. * We do not honor "Buy One / Get One Free" advertisements. * We do not honor double or triple coupons or percent off advertisements. * We do not honor other retailers' "Misprinted" advertised prices. * We do not honor Internet Pricing. * We do not honor competitor advertisements from outside of the store's or Club's local trade territory.' I can see misprints and possibly internet pricing. But there are so many stipulations to the policy, it is just easier to get it elsewhere (for me anyways).
  2. This will sound real crazy. I was listening to clarkhoward.com about a month ago. He had a caller talking about this very thing. But there was a twist, it was a cell phone rep who was complaining about the customer wanting to pay more for the phone. What the caller suggested, was to get the phone with the contract (so you get a nice discount) then after you get your rebate, pay your ETF ($175).* This way you also make sure that you know what you are getting (new or refurb), and you know that you are fully covered by the manufacturers warranty. *This is what I heard. I have not tried this.
  3. It has only been rumored that it will go down. But I think I remember seeing a bundle with Rock Band a few weeks ago at Best Buy for $400. I got mine with the Playstation CC and Microsoft live.com/cashback, a couple of months ago. The CC gave a $150 credit back to the card, and Microsoft gave me a $20 check for my purchase by using them to find the retailer I wanted to use.
  4. You really shouldn't leave ANY rechargeable device in its charger for most/all of the time. That will kill the life span of any battery. You should use it till it dies, three or four times. Then after that, it will take less time to charge. Manufacturers say that this is not necessary with newer batteries, but I disagree.
  5. I you are just look at your reports, not score, you can get them for free at https://www.annualcreditreport.com. You can get 1 or 2 a year, depending what state you live in.
  6. I am about to dump AT&T and go to Verizon. I am looking to get the EnV2. They have it for free. Anyone have any opinions about LetsTalk?

  8. You actually thought that you would get ALL 1300 at 1 cent each! A loss like that alone would put a/the company out business for good. If the price difference was a couple of bucks, I could see of having a 'rant'. But with that large of a cost difference, I don't see where you have the 'right' to rant about it.
  9. A code that I have used, last week, was FROSTY.
  10. Hey poopoohead, you can use search.live.com/cashback to get a few buck back. There are Sony Authorized Online Dealers that will give cashback. I got mine through P.C. Richard and Son with %2.5 back. But, I heard that TigerDirect gives %5. I would have went with TigerDirect, but I found out too late and my order had already shipped.
  11. I remember seeing that sale, or something similar, a week before thanksgiving (online only). And I think there was another one also, a month or so before then. No real explanation why. If more retailers did stuff like this, PS3 sales would be booming. It's working for XBOX apparently.
  12. Thanks poopoohead. The retailer had the ps3 up there for sale then they disappeared completely, but later came back without the ps3 for sale.
  13. I got my card but I am trying to go cheap as possible. I found the place I am going to get it from. They participate in live.com, but the ps3 does not come up in the search. The only thing it says is that it is that I will earn 2.5 - 8% cashback on qualifying purchases. Who can I ask and actually get an answer back other than an 'I don't know'? Is the whole store eligible? Or just specific items?
  14. Got an email yesterday (5/26) finally saying it has been shipped. I also went for the free shipping option. I never really checked to see if there was any problems with the order.
  15. When I was working a Staples, when/if they had a 1 cent item, it was to be destroyed. Don't know why.
