mamapenguin Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Blitz is Walmart's term for Black Friday. Blitz Items are your door buster hot items, usually specials from 5am-11am.

I too was clueless for the first couple of days.
mflower25 Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 If they are at wal-mart that day they will need a cop right next to them people are selling them on ebay for $280 US now. I can image when it gets closer it will be much higher.
g-man430 Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 I wonder if this is going to be like that movie "Jingle All the Way," with Arnold Schwarzenegger in it where everybody wants a turbo man doll.
femalesliealot Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 I wonder if this is going to be like that movie "Jingle All the Way," with Arnold Schwarzenegger in it where everybody wants a turbo man doll. I wonder who will end up in a parade dressed up as Elmo?
g-man430 Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 ...and who will be the lucky kid to get the doll?
Adamtanderson Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Can anyone confirm that Walmart will have Elmo on BF?I would be suprised to see TMX tickle me elmo. Same reason I would be suprised to see PS3 or Wii. They are to new and in high demand.
sleepyshopper Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 There is no way TMX Elmo will be in the Wal-Mart Blitz.....It is to Hot of an item.
oscar1961 Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 I agree no Elmos on blizts maybe other Elmos but not TMX.
EmConMom Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 I was so hoping to get one of these guys. I must be sheltered b/c I didn't know the seriuosness of trying to get one until I asked for help finding one. I thought the kid working the toy section at Wal-Mart was going to fall over laughing at me. LOL He told me "Ma'am you have better luck at finding Oprah in the store than Elmo TMX"
brownlands Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Wow. I guess I too have been in the dark about the seriousness of TMX Elmo. And I was so hoping to get one for my two year old.
femalesliealot Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 I agree no Elmos on blizts maybe other Elmos but not TMX.I can't see them NOT have Elmo TMX seeing as it's one of the 'hottest' toys this year. They may not have skids and skids of them, but I can't see them not having any at all. They're going to have whatever will get customers into their store and Elmo TMX would do just that.
juanadeal Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 I asked the Customer Service cashier at Walmart about Elmo yesterday and she told me they'll have them on Black Friday. I'm sure they won't be a blitz item but they'll just have them in the store.
peachysquirt21 Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 I read somewhere on here I beleive that they are having them on BF for 19.99. This is the case, Walmart is gonna be even worse place to go too this year. LOL
Trish1298 Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 I can't imagine them selling them for that cheap, when they know they can sell them for much more and people are still going to go crazy to get there hands on them.
parteejen Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 I hope they do have them...and for that price. Because I'm not getting one, and it'll make the lines for the other items shorter :)
EmConMom Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 I hope they do have them...and for that price. Because I'm not getting one, and it'll make the lines for the other items shorter :) That's great. Those of us with little ones that just "have to have them" will be clawing and scratching, you will be pointing, laughing and stealing all the other good deals.

Those of us with little ones that just "have to have them" will be clawing and scratching, you will be pointing, laughing and stealing all the other good deals.Of course! i don't see what's so special about the tmx, anyway. But, if it helps me to get OTHER deals, I'm all for that! :)
berges Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 gosh.... I sure am glad that I already bought mine. In fact I bought two of them so that I could sell one. They are so cute I couldn't imagine not getting one for my kids.
dtdoda Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Wouldn't it be something if they had tons of them on the shelves before Christmas and all those people who think they're going to make a killing on them were left holding theirs?
juanadeal Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 I read somewhere on here I beleive that they are having them on BF for 19.99. This is the case, Walmart is gonna be even worse place to go too this year. LOL$19.99? They could have them for $50 and people would still line up at 2am for them.
bayhaysay Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Wouldn't it be something if they had tons of them on the shelves before Christmas and all those people who think they're going to make a killing on them were left holding theirs? Now THAT would be funny. I'm not even going to try to get one for my 3 yr old. I just don't think she would play with it.
femalesliealot Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Now THAT would be funny. I'm not even going to try to get one for my 3 yr old. I just don't think she would play with it.Stick with that idea. I got my 3 yr old one and she played with it for two days, now it just sits around. I occasionally push it but only because that cats flip out and hide when elmo starts laughing.
kari2042 Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 I don't think that it is that cute. I saw a preview on the internet and just don't think that it is all that. And ya if you do get it the kids are going to play with it for one or two days and then it will be put aside with other stuffed animals that set around.
peachysquirt21 Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 I can't imagine them selling them for that cheap, when they know they can sell them for much more and people are still going to go crazy to get there hands on them.I can see it happening. I mean there having bargains now before BF. God knows what there gonna have for BF.
juanadeal Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 I think we might very well see our first Walmart Black Friday fatality this year.
