xxpnoisnxx Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 Well its finally upon us...black friday is almost here and im gearing up to do my shopping. I did a search on the site and I was unable to find any FRYS ELECTRONICS Black Friday specials. Can someone post some info about it. THANKS!!!
danbo Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 There was a BF ad for Fry's in my local (Oregonian) paper today, on the back page of the sports section. Sorry I don't have it with me, but I don't recall anything that was a "once-in-a-lifetime" sort of deal. Maybe someone else has the page?
Brad Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 Some Fry's deals (unconfirmed): http://blackfriday.gottadeal.com/sales.php?store=frys
RossMAN Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 There was a BF ad for Fry's in my local (Oregonian) paper today, on the back page of the sports section. Maybe someone else has the page?I have today's Oregonian but I wonder if those are today's deals?
warlock110 Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 that ad is wrong, it's from last year, look at the prices on the combo, 2200 XP combo is so last year (look at the price tag for that combo), the combo i'm expecting for this BF on fry should be the sampron (they been saling them for months, XP was out atleast 5 months ago) and maybe some P4, that ad also has CD rom for 20 and CDRW + DVD combo for 45, regular price at fry for those are 9.99 and 39.99, so this is not the right ad.
warlock110 Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 Canon Photo i860 Printer - $149.00 i can confirm this, i bought mine at fry for 90 @ 4 months ago regular price :)
Mike Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 The frys ads are for the before BF sale going on.
hopper Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 It's a little harder to get a sneak peek at Fry's ads since they are local ads, and don't go to the printers 2-3 months ahead of time. You can try this link at midnight, they might have something up by then, it might give you some insight to what may be in your local ad.http://shopping.ocregister.com/RopAds.aspx?adv=179018&cat=49
shopperstef Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 I got the BF deals for Fry's in today's Seattle Times... should I type them up or are they wrong?

warlock110 Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 ahhh, that's why is was like "WT*" haha, it looks like regular price to me :), thanx for typing that up, i saw the ad on OCcounty already :). omg haha, sorry to hear to have to type all that up, i was wondering myself how you got the ad so early. anyways if i find anything i'll update this thread. i can't make any decision of where to go before i find out what's at fry, it's possibly the store with the cheapest stuff that i know of.
Gumball Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 I wish I had a Fry's around here. The nearest one is in Chicago. I went to the one in Houston this past summer and it was HUGE!
hopper Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 The Fry's ads are up and they also have a notebook computer for $499 and NO rebate. http://newspaperads.dfw.com/RopAds.aspx?adv=15646&ad=

hindupapi69 Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 I don't see any laptop deals at Fry's. Dang it... that's my top priority this Black Friday. MUST...GET....LAPTOP!!!!

warlock110 Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 they are about 1/4" thicker than my dell dude, my friend got one, it's a mobile celly i think, if it comes with celeron then it'll have much higher clock speed.
p3rsian Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 they are about 1/4" thicker than my dell dude, my friend got one, it's a mobile celly i think, if it comes with celeron then it'll have much higher clock speed.its a regular celly... not even a mobile1.8 !!! yea right !!!!!!
warlock110 Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 if it's a regular celly at 1.8 then NVM hehe, i thought it was mobile then it's still good.
Stuart Posted November 26, 2004 Posted November 26, 2004 ahhh, that's why is was like "WT*" haha, it looks like regular price to me :) You say regular price...so do you think the 1GB CF card might still be on sale for $40 AR tommorrow (today, depending where you are )? I guess I'll give them a call tommorrow.
warlock110 Posted November 26, 2004 Posted November 26, 2004 huh? that post was made yesterday when the ad didn't come out, read the whole thread, i think you might have missed understand, and i don't know what you talking about.
Stuart Posted November 26, 2004 Posted November 26, 2004 It was the ad that came out on Wednesday (not the BF ad), and the ad was only good that day. I was asking if you thought the price on that CF is $60 (before rebate) normally. Sorry if I've confused you... I think I'm also gonna attempt to get one of the cheapo $99 computers, but I might already need to be in line to get one of those!
warlock110 Posted November 26, 2004 Posted November 26, 2004 yeah, it's normal, fry normally has pretty cheap prices on media.
Stuart Posted November 26, 2004 Posted November 26, 2004 Great thanks! I should probably leave soon...
