Just wanted to say a huge thanks for posting this one! My stepdad bought it from Amazon with the express shipping just in time to give it to Mum for xmas and she looooved it :) Very cool!

Oooooh, Mum loves the Yankee candles. We bought 3 holiday scents from Costco.

I scored some fabulous gift packs from Starbucks at 50% off ($9.99 for about $30 worth of stuff) and some tasty Godiva chocolate gift box packs at 50% off.

I've found that Costco aren't as cheap with DVDs these days... the box sets I wanted were only $10 cheaper than on Amazon and the new release movies are about the same. Also, Borders has a DVD sale on at the moment. A lot of titles are on clearance and it's Buy 3, Get the 4th Free: More info

I actually did get something for myself :) I bought a 'backup' present for Mum in case she didn't like the one I got her. But she loved it, so I guess I get to keep it now! :) It's a Pfaltzgraff recipe box (paler than in the photo) from the Pistoulet line -- I don't have recipes but it's so cute; I'll probably sit it on my desk with pens in it or something.

I'm looking for a dock/cradle (or any other accessories, really!) that's compatible with the iPod mini. I'm not sure even where to start looking so even suggestions of stores that might sell one would be much appreciated :)

Heh, I don't buy myself anything for xmas, especially when I barely managed to cover everyone else! But, if I had the money, I'd grab The O.C. Season 1 DVD set :)

Mum and I are hitting Starbucks to pick up some cheap gifts to take back to Australia with us and we'll probably also head to some of the department stores to see what's happening.

I went to an IKEA once to buy my chest of drawers at the start of the year. It reminds me a lot of Freedom in Aust.

Does anyone know of any good sales that begin come Sunday? I know Mum and I are hitting all of the Starbucks to snag gifts for friends at home (no Starbucks in my hometown) and maybe some of the store decorations!

I went to my local Payless today and while they still had the 70% off signs up in the window, I didn't see any must-have deals inside. The girl in the shop completely pissed me off by breathing down my neck and starting off with: "just wanted to let you know out latest promotion is 70% off most things and the way you can tell the price of something is by looking at the tags." Argh. <insert rolling of eyes here>

All of the GTAs are like that :) I don't think you can veto one but buy all the others for him. They all involve a large amount of swearing, violence and sometimes prostitution.
