onedumbdude Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 All the ads that have come out are places that I never shop during BF anyway. So, no, I am not dissapointed. I am just waiting for the big players.
johjstc Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 I'm not disappointed...yet. I am 'patiently' waiting for the WM ad.
kfinto65 Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 Some of the ads released so far are for stores I will visit later in the day. I really want to see the ads for Wal-Mart, Circuit City, Best Buy and Staples so I can make my early morning plans. So yeah, I'm disappointed that more ads haven't been leaked yet!
H_Hancock Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 Gotta agree, the lack of ads so far is the disappointment. Seems like we're behind in number, but time will tell. Almost seems that the stores are trying to keep their ads more secure this year. I'm waiting for BB, CC, Fry's, and CompUSA. Couldn't care less about Wal-Mart's ad....hate going in there on a good day. You couldn't pay me to set foot in one on BF.
my3bellas Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Kbtoys was not what I expected. But, my children are getting older and more into the electronics and music. But, I am waiting for walmart, best buy and circuit city ads.
mccabefamily29 Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 I was not thrilled by K.B. toys ad, but I am still waiting for walmarts.
udratherbme Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 as of now yes, but i can w8 to make that a definite yes or no when the other sales come out
comm402 Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Goodmoring All:tongue1: I am sooo disappointed, where are the "sale" prices ??? Most if the items in the KayBee and EBGames ads can be bought right now at those prices !! Oh well, patiently waiting for Walmart, Target, & Toys R Us.
peekaboo Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 I was in my mall over the weekend and to my surprise KB Toys is gone. They already have another store in it' place. Now after seeing the ad I have to admit I am not upset because I did not even see anything I wanted for my daughter.
mtjoycol Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Kb... I used to wait in line to get in there. What happened this year? Another store I don't have to hit. EB Games.. Already onsale most of those games.Waiting for Walmart and Toys R Us.
j-bo Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 Anyone else unimpressed so far? Do a few searches on the "deals" in the ads and you can either get the same price or beat it already, with some even MORE than what you can find now!
mccabefamily29 Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 I am a little, but I have been waiting for Walmart's ad all along.
wyntyrose Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 I noticed that with the Penny's ad, the gym they have is onsale at Kmart right now cheaper than there doorbuster price.
g-man430 Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 Maybe these stores are trying to trick us. They might be releasing a phony copy of the adds to make people get off their backs about getting the adds and what the prices really are.
Kalel Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 I think BB or WM wont do last year´s same mistake....So, there wont be any scans....
bayhaysay Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 There's a whole thread around here somewhere about people being "dissapointed" so far. And here it is: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=51691&highlight=dissapointed
g-man430 Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 Julian: But after my nap I always watch the Kangaroo Song. Sonny: It's overtime right now and there's a penalty shot about to take place. This happens about once every ten years so... Julian: Kangaroo song, kangaroo song, kangaroo song, KANGAROO SONG! Sonny: ALLLRRIIIGGGHTT! God you were normal yesterday!
cotinkandy1 Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 There is nothing thrilling out yet for me. Waiting on wal-mart & target. So far wal-mart has been having really good sales(this week) What iam waundering is will the BF add be even better or will it be a BIG LET DOWN? I sure hope not.
Marcster Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 Threads merged... http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Surprise/electricf.gif
elena_398 Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 Im disappointed as I won't be going out to Kmart this year on Thanksgiving. Nothing at all I want or need. So far the store's ads that have come out, again, I don't want or need anything.
g-man430 Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 Maybe were being punk'd by the stores and they're tricking us with fake adds until they release the real ones on Thanksgiving.
elena_398 Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 Im hoping when I get the physical Kmart ad that they will have the GameBoy Advance games on Thanksgiving like they always do (bought the kid games for the past several years)
Care Bear Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 I haven't seen anything in any of the ads that have been posted so far but I hope as more ads are added I'll find something.
smileya82 Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 I'm finding that alot of the Balck Friday prices listed so far you can find at Wal-Mart cheaper now. I'm very dissapointed. Can't wait till the Wal-Mart add so I can find the cheaper stuff even cheaper.
g-man430 Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 I think it's a ploy by the companies. The ads aren't real and the real ones will be released Thanksgiving.
bigbandm Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 Maybe were being punk'd by the stores and they're tricking us with fake adds until they release the real ones on Thanksgiving. One would hope...the deals are not much more than a good sale...not "black Friday" worthy.
mychza Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 I hope we get some good stuff soon. Last year at this time I was comparing and researching laptops and cameras on the internet. If they hold off too long, or release different ads on Thanksgiving, I'm screwed. I like to plan while I'm at work, so my Thanksgiving holiday is free to spend with family.
BLKFRI Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 Without the mail-in rebates, prices at BB don't seem worth getting. This will be the second year that I choose somewhere else to go. Last year, most of the BB stuff you could order online Thanksgiving day. And that's what I did. Went to Staples after CompUSA opened at Midnight and got some sweet deals on 19" lcd's. Thats probably what I will do this year.
jellybean051901 Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 I already took advantage of the WM sale on the 5th. I was hopping for a better price on a laptop. With all the sales available so far I have just about finished my shopping. I was also hoping that WM would have a good deal on desktops so I don't have to make the trek to BB. IMO other than the BB ad I am disappointed
ryleeblack Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 I'm disappointed so far, but I'm hoping that Fry's will bring the spark of Black Friday back to me.
