abentley Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Personally, I am out on Christmas Eve picking up food and whatever catches my eye. However I have "checklists" that I try to go by, like having parents done by..well right now, and neices & nephews by November 1st. Does anyone else work by a checklist as well?
bugsette Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 lol it seems like I'm never done.. but try to be 99% done around the 22 of December
jeninpa Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 I'm usually done by around 12-15 BUT I still keep on buying and buying until Christmas Eve! I also have 2 bdays to buy for in December (12th & 28th) plus the 4 kids! lol

kmbrly Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Honestly, I TRY to be "done" by the end of October. Not always the case, but it's a goal. Even if I'm done by then, I'll still buy something that catches my eye along the way, or on BF. Last year, I was at Walgreens at midnight on Christmas Eve buying gift cards and gas cards and other stocking stuffers.
Scott Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 I try to be done no later than midnight on the 24th of December... :) I'm such a procrastinator.
Aaron Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Christmas EveI like to wait 'til the last minute. :)
bayhaysay Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 I like to wait 'til the last minute. :)I really do too. That's when you find some of the best deals.
ccarson1972 Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 I would like to be done between the begininng and middle of December, but I'm usually out Christmas Eve still picking up needed items.
StephanieD Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 I like to be done by the first week of December, but it doesn't always work out.
Scott Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 I like to be done by the first week of December, but it doesn't always work out. That is often when I start... :)
Melissa Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 I like to be done by the first week of December, but it seems like there are always those odds & ends that have to be picked up at the last minute. Plus, my older dd's birthday is December 27th.
Christy Garner Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 I try to be about 90% done on Black Friday and finish around the 15 of December. We start having family get togethers around that time.
cleverbffool Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 I try to be finished by the first week of December and have everthing wrapped, then I can can enjoy the holidays peacefully without having to rush on Dec 24 for gifts. ~*~Jess~*~
blakes_mommy Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Usually the first week of December, I tend to over buy though!
berry1014 Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 We try to be finished by the first weekend in December.
mrn8 Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 I hope to have it all by Christmas Eve. Last year I actually ordered something from Amazon on the 23rd and got it the 24th. I couldn't for the life of me figure out what to get my grandparents and ended up getting them a photo printer.
jellybean051901 Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 I always plan on being done early but end up buying things up until the last minute. This year I am already pretty much done with my daughter
Bunniq Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 BF is my last shopping day for Christmas gifts. Unless of course I hear of a good deal that I simply can not pass up.
starshine Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 The weekend of BF Sometimes they run good sales on Saturday also so I may hit a few of those but I'm usually done that weekend. I shop all year for Christmas it's the only way I could afford it.
ssf Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 I "try" to start in June or so and be done by the first week of December. I use a list and when I'm done with the specific items for everyone if I find something else it's a bonus, also that way I can take my time..
jskarp Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 My goal is always BF and this year, dog gone it.......I'm going to do it. I will spend the entire month of December enjoying the holidays by going to shows, baking and do other fun stuff w/the family. (best I get going now, LOL)
elena_398 Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 I try to be completely done and wrapped at least a week before christmas. Of course in that week I always find another item or two to add
Turtle Mommy Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Extended family I want to be done with by Nov. 1st. I have to ship most of it so I also want to beat the crowds at the post office! My boys I tend to pick things up right up until Christmas Eve.
Kaarak Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 I normaly have class until the week before Christmas so I consider myself lucky if everything is done my Christmas Eve. This year we have class until the Friday before Christmas so I"m going to need to use some unique time managment skills to get everything done.
