http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Angry/rant2.gif We went to go use this tonight. We had the worst service ever. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Angry/pull_hair.gif

After waiting at out table for 15 minutes (5 more minutes and we would've left), our waitress arrived to take our drink order. She explained that no one had told her that our table was hers... But other servers were walking past us, shouldn't they have told her we were there? We told her that we were about to leave if no one had come over in the next 5 minutes.

We gave her our complete order: beverages (iced tea for me and water for my wife), appetizer (buffalo wings) and entrees (salad for me and pasta for my wife). She brings the drinks out and the 2 side plates and napkins for the wings. The bottom plate was dirty (shriveled up lettuce leaf stuck to it).

10 minutes go by... http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Angry/shock.gif

15 minutes... http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Angry/vent.gif

20 minutes... http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Angry/grumble.gif

I'm ready for a refill on my tea now... http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Angry/pissedoff.gif

25 minutes!!! http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Angry/angryfire.gif

(5 more minutes and I was going to ask the hostess how much my iced tea was, leave it on the table and walk out).

At 28 minutes (43 minutes after we were seated), the runner brings our entrees! http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Rude/wtf.gif

We say: "Take that away, where is our appetizer?" So our runner goes for our waitress, 5 minutes later she arrives and says that she will be checking on our appetizer and telling the manager what's going on.

Another 7 minutes or so, we get our appetizer. We're both peaved... We tell the waitress to cancel the entrees... We'll pay for the appetizer since you brought it out and my iced tea, but we're not staying for dinner. She gets all defensive about the kitchen being backed up. We're thinking: o.k., we've been here almost an hour and still have no dinner and this is the first time you've stopped by to tell us what the hold up is? And why can't I get a refill on my iced tea?

She says she was talking to the manager about giving us one of our entrees for free. (bear in mind, our appetizer was free too with that coupon).

I finally get a refill, and a clean plate.

The manager stopped by to try to smooth things over. We were offered free dinners, which we refused, then free desserts, which we again refused. He ended up giving us two free entree cards and two free appetizer cards to use at one of 6 or so Fridays in the area. My wife was so ticked she almost refused that too.

My iced tea and our appetizer were free.

It'll be a LONG time till we go back. My wife is ready to swear it off altogether (the last time we went to this Fridays, service was slow, but not bad enough to tell the manager).

50 minutes for an appetizer and two beverages... Don't go to the T.G.I. Fridays in Wyomissing, PA if you're hungry!

So sorry that you had a hard time, if you don't want to go back, it would make a gift to someone else or sell them on ebay LOL One thing I have found, is make a complaint online through their main website, yes they gave you coupons for free food but I think making the main corporation aware there is a problem is well worth the 15 mins. If people don't complain to the corporation, they don't know what restaurants are not following their policies. I did this recently with a bad McDonald's visit. I simply stated that service was below their level of standards, the food was cold and the personnel really didn't respond as they should of. Well, I got a call from the manager of several area McDonalds and we talked abit about this particular restaurant and the problems we have encountered there on more than several occasions. She sent us some coupons and we tried them out again, the service was so much better. I think they took it to heart and tried to fix the problem. Not that this works with all but it is well worth the time to comment on it. They might be wondering why that particular restaurant is doing poorly and seek a remedy, maybe its the staff or its the management. I feel that if you are getting poor service on more than one occasion that is management, they are either not paying attention or training their personnel the proper job.

Hi,

I know this TGI Friday's link is old but it still works fine and the expiration date changes to the date you click it plus 2 weeks. I've used it several times and it's one of my favorite links. The coupon is for a free appetizer up to $8 with a purchase of $15! Happy Holidays!
