Why 4? I've heard of 3 as that is the number of gifts that Jesus received. I wish I would have done the 3 gift plan when all of my children were home. It would have made me be more concious of my gift choices along with emphasising Jesus' birth and the gift of the Maji. Heavy sigh.... I can only hope my 3 children consider it when and if they have children. Maybe I'll have grandchildren someday and can educate them about the reason for celebrating Christ's birthday.

I don't know if I'll buy anthing this year. I'm still looking around for a warm place to sneak away and skip Christmas. I tend to remember experiences rather than things. Taking my 2 youngest daughters to New York and meeting Daniel Radcliffe was the best gift I could ever have hoped to give.

Mine is supposed to be delivered tomorrow. I also bought one of the Epson wireless printers. I turned the upstairs family/living room into a ginormous dining room and figured I "needed" a new laptop and printer to use while in the basement family living room.

What about a gift certificate for someplace fun to go in the summer, or give him an overnight stay at an indoor water park over Christmas break? I'm all about experiences, lasting gifts (works of art), or as a last resort consumables. More than anything, I'm really digging the idea of giving something that will provide lasting memories. I should be selling vacations for a living.

My favorite part is saving money.
