codeblue Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 I love Kohl's on Black Friday they usually have some good sales especially Fisher Price and Little Tyke toys(usually 50%) for the little ones. I also save my MVC extra 15% coupon to use that day which makes the already good buys even better. I can remember for my DD first christmas(2001) a stock boy came out with an empty stock basket so I could put everything in it. Since we still have little ones in the family I look forward to the toy sale.
Aaron Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 I'll have to check it out here, they're getting ready to open one in October here!! :)
mitchandalisha Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 I really like Kohl's as well. I wish they would give gift cards at the door like they have done in the past years (maybe 2 or 3 years ago).
RossMAN Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 Kohl's finally opened a few stores in my area, it's about time!
Tessangel Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 We just got a Kohl's earlier this year. I used to have to drive 2 hours to get to one. I can't wait to see what there black friday deals are.
blakes_mommy Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 I agree, Kohls is good on black friday. They haqd a lot of stuff left when I went at 11
JBKing Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 Haven't tried Kohl's before on BF, but now there is one just a couple of miles away, problem is, opposite side of town from Best Buy, Staples, Office Depot, etc, etc. But an awesome BF Kohl's ad would keep me on that side of town. :)
mrn8 Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 I'll have to check it out here, they're getting ready to open one in October here!! :)They'll have some excellent Grand Opening sales. At their prices, I'm able to replace most of my work clothes every year or two.
Bunniq Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 They'll have some excellent Grand Opening sales. At their prices, I'm able to replace most of my work clothes every year or two.Maybe the grand opening of the new Kohl's in my area will hold me until BF 2006. The countdown for BF started early on my calendar, DH says I start it earlier and earlier each year.
sanam Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 ive never been to kohls before either on BF !!! were the deals good ??
Shonette Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Last year I went for GameCube games. I ended up not getting ones that were on sale and I had to go to Customer service. Long story short, I was way too nice about the whole thing (I was trying to get to Target before they sold out). I will watch the ad more carefully this year.
Melissa Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 They have some good sales, but a lot of their stuff is way overpriced to begin with, so 50% off just brings it down to a "normal price".
Rockfordmom Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Last year they had a great deal on a portable dvd player (with a screen) - that's what I went there for - and a lot of their toys are a good deal when they are 1/2 off.
dmintelsgt Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Kolh's was a mad house last year, but I got some really good buys, I hope our local store gets it act together this year, the lines were HORRIBLE last year. I think generally their stuff is over priced so they are able to give "Big" discount deals that make it look better then they really are... their luggage was a very good deal at 70% off last year though..
Aaron Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 They'll have some excellent Grand Opening sales. At their prices, I'm able to replace most of my work clothes every year or two.Awesome, I always need new clothes. I hate to shop though,
NeepNeep Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 No Kohl's in my immediate area. But depening on the BF ads, if they had something I was looking for, at a great price, I'd certainly give them a try and make the drive...
codeblue Posted September 20, 2006 Author Posted September 20, 2006 No Kohl's in my immediate area. But depening on the BF ads, if they had something I was looking for, at a great price, I'd certainly give them a try and make the drive... You could always order online and get the same deals.
Aaron Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 October 5th, 2006 is the opening date for our Kohls! :)
mesarobins Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 They have some good sales, but a lot of their stuff is way overpriced to begin with, so 50% off just brings it down to a "normal price".That is my experience too. I love their clearance but even on sale I find most of there stuff is overpriced. Would take a really good BF sale to get me there.
cactusmom Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Wow, I may have to try KOHLS this year. It has become one of our favorite stores this year, mostly for the clearance items though.
BFQueenofNY Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 I am so glad I listened to my mil when she said to get a credit card to Kohl's. The sales are good and then you get even more off most times. I am looking forward to seeing their sales on BF, but it is too far away for door busters
threelittlecupcakes Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 I love my Kohl's store. I go there way too much during the year. But on BF it is insane - the checkout lines were all the way to the back of the store.
mangreg99 Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 October 5th, 2006 is the opening date for our Kohls! :)We have 2 Kohls opening close enough to us the same day (Oct. 5th). They are both one hour or so away north and south of us. I can't wait I've never been to Kohls. Dee
elena_398 Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 I can honestly say I've never stopped by Kohls on BF. My kids are too old for Little Tykes items and Fisher Price (those are the things they seem to advertise in toys for BF) and neither kid ever needs clothes. No matter how cheap. My 6 year old daughter alone has 2 full closests. My son has a full closet, dresser, and under the bed storage full.
jellybean051901 Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 We went to Kohls after WM last year and they still had a lot of the sale items available
l_lhennessy Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Last year we did the best at Kohls! That is our #1 stop in 2006! Even found a CPK with my DD's birthdate and a LMax at a great price. Like orginal poster said, save your 15% off coupon. Last year for every $50 spent I believe, they gave you $10 to spend the next week! I think I did about 85% of my shopping at Kohls.
l_lhennessy Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Oh wanted to add they had a lot of games & plug & play as well as some craft kits (was surprised by this) for my 10 & 11 y/o nieces. Something for everyone!
rduncan Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 Locally there are two Kohl's opening in a few days. The problem, as I see it, is the closest one shares a parking lot with a Staples (or is it Office Max??), a Best Buy, is across the street from a Circuit City and Sams Club and close to a Wal-Mart. I can just see the traffic on BF!!!
