I have no idea why either! Good for you I got my first new car, also blue in 2012. I like sedans. Owned 2 station wagons in the past and no desire for an suv. Always keep our cars a loooong time. rockpzazz Posted May 8 Posted May 8 April showers brings..... mud! Lots and lots of mud. At least the last half of the month even though a bit soggy was much better than the first part of the month. Here's hoping May will dry out a bit as the weather starts getting nicer. Also hoping to maybe find a few garage sales to get out and do something. 1
speeddiva Posted May 10 Posted May 10 It’s been a week of doctors for me. I finally convinced my GP that something has to be done about my knee pain so she shot me up with steroids and Holy Cow, I can walk again! What a difference. I also have a fancy new ️placard for my car that I feel like an imposter using LOL then yesterday, I spent 6 hours in a dentist chair with a cracked molar that got infected. So now I have to deal with the infection before he can fix the tooth. Why is tooth pain the absolute worst pain ever?! But hooray for hydrocodone haha 3

But the good thing was that before a camping trip, my Dr gave me a blister pack of cortizone for the week. Made a huge difference. Maybe if you ask for one if you have a trip or something special……..? ymmv

stacya Posted Monday at 11:49 PM Posted Monday at 11:49 PM Can't believe we're already 2/3 of the way through May! On May 1, the luge team selection list came out, and Kendall will remain on the Candidate Team for this upcoming year, but she has been invited to train with the Jr. National Team for the summer. Kendall and her best buddy on the team were both moved up to the Candidate Team a year early, when they were 13, and to move them up again now, they would be 2 years early, and there's currently no room on that upper level team. So, they were both invited to train with that team for the summer, in preparation for moving up to the Jr. National Team next year. This works out perfectly with school, as Kendall will be a junior, and has almost all of her course requirements completed in order to graduate. So she will have an easier junior year, and will have only electives for her senior year, when she will graduate after the fall semester ends. After one year on the Jr. National Team, athletes are invited to live at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, but they have to be 18 and a high school graduate, which would be an issue if Kendall moved up this year, because she would not be 18 or a graduate after one year on that team. So, it's definitely the best of both worlds, getting the experience with the team for the summer, but not up-ending her junior year, with trying to figure out limited time onsite in school for the year. The most exciting part is that in addition to sliding and racing on the tracks in Park City, Utah and Lake Placid, in January, she will be training and racing in Sigulda, Latvia, and then the remainder of January and til about mid February, she will be training and racing on 2 to 3 different tracks in Germany, including Konigssee, the track that was rebuilt in time for this season after being destroyed in a mudslide a few years ago. Exciting happenings! Kendall turns 16 on June 19, and summer training begins on June 22. She will have 2 teammates fly in for her sweet 16, and they will go to Hersheypark and spend a few days here before I drive them all up to Lake Placid. I'll be there for a few days before I drive back home, so I should have some summer training pics when I check in next month! 4
stationchief Posted Wednesday at 03:18 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:18 PM Almost forgot to say happy birth-month to my special gorgeous glamorous gal Boo-Boos! Once the teeny runt of the litter, now a big bothersome spoiled brat 5-year-old diva (yes I know that's mostly my fault). Happy blackie berfday! 1
