sunshiine Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 this is a really good deal, especially since i'm in dire need of a camera. however, i wonder when it expires...my paycheck (that i have allotted to a camera, mp3 player and a laptop) doesn't come in till next week:(
Big Smooth Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Price has dropped to $89.99 AR. That's an excellent price for a 5MP compact camera that, while unspectacular, would be great for many point-and-shoot users.

cthulhu Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Looks like a good starter camera for point and shoot with a nice price.
Great Dane Mom Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 My soon-to-be 16 year old daughter wants a digital camera. I might have to get this one for her. Thanks! Anything else I should throw into my order for this camera?
biomajor Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 I'd throw in an xD card for the camera and probably another set of rechargeable batteries I checked the compatability chart and the 1GB H and M cards will fit. 1GB xD card for $44.99
mom2thegirls Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 OK, I bit on this one. I hope the rebate comes through.
USC Becca Posted July 15, 2006 Posted July 15, 2006 I'm in too - time to dump my old digital that I hate so much I never use it. Thanks Ross! :)
sunshiine Posted July 15, 2006 Posted July 15, 2006 sooo tempting. this is a good deal. is there a cheaper xD card though?
biomajor Posted July 15, 2006 Posted July 15, 2006 There are cheaper xD cards because they are smaller, but right now, that's closest to the best price for an xD card for the price per MB. Outpost has the 1GB for $39.99 but I haven't had much luck with ordering from there, and their shipping partner (DHL) is the worst!! My video game order from the last time is still on Backorder and I think it was May when I ordered it, but it does have free shipping. Here's the Link
Great Dane Mom Posted July 15, 2006 Posted July 15, 2006 Ugh! I didn't go through with my order yesterday. Now the price is $139.99 with no rebate showing up.
psiu Posted July 15, 2006 Posted July 15, 2006 Thanks for the update Andy :) My first digicam was a Fuji Finepix and they're awesome cameras. Our first digicam was a 2 megapixel Finepix, and I still use it plenty, even with my Canon S2 on hand.
Great Dane Mom Posted July 15, 2006 Posted July 15, 2006 Update: I called in and they sold it to me for the $129.99. The dude said the additional $10 off was a Friday Special. Who knew? Luckily, I had printed off the rebate form yesterday.
USC Becca Posted July 15, 2006 Posted July 15, 2006 I digitally downloaded the rebate if anyone needs it
mom2thegirls Posted July 15, 2006 Posted July 15, 2006 Ugh! I didn't go through with my order yesterday. Now the price is $139.99 with no rebate showing up. Wow. I actually made an impulse buy that might payoff!

bpr Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 I bought this camera for $95 at Christmas(No Rebate) . Such a good deal, I bought 2. I love it. It takes great pictures. Great value.
sunshiine Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 just a heads up that you can still get this for 89.99 sans the $40 rebate. I ordered mine today, all you have to do is make sure u get a good rep. PM me if you need a good reps' extension...i got a couple. lol
Mike Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 This can't be beat @ just $100. Combine this with the 1GB XD card on sale at outpost.com and you have yourself a sweet setup.
tapmba Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 Update: I called in and they sold it to me for the $129.99. The dude said the additional $10 off was a Friday Special. Who knew? Luckily, I had printed off the rebate form yesterday.Unlucky me. I bought it a few days back for $139. They didn't give me the $10 rebate.

RossMAN Posted August 4, 2006 Author Posted August 4, 2006 Today its available for $79.99+ $6.95 Shipping = $86.94Thanks, I'm 2 seconds away from ordering this myself.
amphibianbri Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 This is going to be my first digital camera and I just ordered one. Seems like a great deal for the price as every other 5 MP camera I've looked at is over $150.
tapmba Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 Unlucky me. I bought it a few days back for $139. They didn't give me the $10 rebate.I called them up and they gave me a price adjustment. So I too got it for 86.95.
USC Becca Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 I just received notice from a site called "rebatetracker" that my rebate was invalid because I didn't include the UPC, which I did (and I have a scanned PDF copy of my entire submission). The only contact method they offer is to fill out an online form. I'm a bit concerned - we're talking $40! Anyone have any suggestions or advice?
