Like the OP, Friday is part of our Thanksgiving holidays.

I've read where laptops with similar specs can run somewhat smoothly. I think I read where someone had turned off all of vista's bells and whistles. I don't know how to do it. Probably could google how to.

That link takes you to the sandisk 2gb card page where there is no rebate shown. Until Brad can clear the confusion, I'd keep checking because you never know when the price may change.

Sounds like a great price. However, site shows price as $28.99 with 5.99 shipping and the rebate is not there.

DVD -R's tend to be more compatible with stand alone dvd players. I've never had an issue switching back and forth with my dvd players. Definitely check out the guide Ripn linked to: http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm I too would like to know what the media code is.

There wasn't much left by the time I got there this afternoon but I got 2 hoodies which was what I wanted for $8.99 each. I'm pleased.

Well, when I get my rebate in I'll think it was dumb to pay $12.99 when I paid $2.99. I'll take that $10 and literally eat my sweet sucess. Kidding beside, $12.99 is still a great price. And I have to admit that tomorrow will be my first BF shopping. I'm not looking forward to getting up early but will hit the gym after I grab a couple of those sd cards and have an early start on the day.

Those sandisk 1gb sd cards would go great with the kodak easyshare c530's I bought for my kids yesterday. I hadn't planned on going out tomorrow but I guess I'll have to since it won't let me buy online.
