rockpzazz
I was debating on if I should keep my account for another month and find some Prime deals, or cancel it. I opted to cancel it just because I didn't really need anything at this moment. Too bad Prime Day wasn't the 7th, or else I'd still be able to look and possibly be a couple deals if I found something.

Brad
We're starting to get sent the lists of deals for Prime Day (that we can't post sadly) but there are going to be some nice deals again this year. Also seems like a lot more other retailers are going to compete with Amazon. If this continues we could end up with a true summer Black Friday in a few years, at least online.

Bopeep
My 7 year old grandson has decided he wants an "Alexa" for his room so he can listen to music when he goes to bed (I honestly don't think he knows what a radio is, lol). I think I will try to pick up a dot for him, just not sure if the kids' version is worth the extra money or if I just get the regular dot. I don't worry about him buying things through it, he wouldn't know that's even a possibility. That said, if the kids' version gets marked down enough on Prime Day I will probably pick it up. **I just spent some time reading the reviews for the kids' version, and I think I won't even worry about it. I'll just get him the regular dot and be done. I feel quite sure all of the Echo devices will be special priced on Prime Day. Bopeep
Pro Tip: When you're scrolling through the upcoming deals and want more info on an item DON'T OPEN THE ITEM IN THAT WINDOW! When you hit the back button, it does not take you back to where you were. Right click, and open link in a new window. You'd think I'd learn, but I've wanted to kick myself 2 or 3 times already this morning.

You'd think I'd learn, but I've wanted to kick myself 2 or 3 times already this morning. LOL! I had the same problem! Their "glitch" was hilariously reminiscent of the Black Friday website glitches we suffer through every year! But I managed to get a few things during the day. Got the Echo Spot in the wee hours of the morning before the glitch even happened since I have to get up before the chickens to go to work. That was my main thing so all the rest were not important but nice to get anyway.

Tara3117
Got a Kindle for my son for his birthday, some smart plugs and the veggie spiralizer that I've had my eye on. (PS. Send recipes please!) I was hoping to get a huge jump on some Christmas gifts, but my husband vetoed the 3 foot tall Batman for $48 that I wanted to get my 5yo.
Kanyon71
We had nothing but issues with their site and trying to order stuff. I had something in my cart (the Instantpot 6qt 7in1) and I couldn't check out site kept crapping out. So I went on later that night to try again and ordered something else as well. Well lo and behold it's no longer in stock. Funny thing is after the PRIME day stuff ended it was back in stock from Amazon again and at the full price. That coupled with the massive shipping issues we've had from Amazon lately are starting to make me rethink having prime. To me if you're out of stock you should all the sudden have more stock once the sale is over.

Started late May..ended up throwing a fit because even though we had prime everything was taking 6-7 days for delivery.. they ended up refunding my prime but still keeping it active( so essentially the year is free).. and low and behold after I griped and made a big deal about it our delivery times returned to normal. we noticed that this did not affect the larger markets where ALL of the Prime perks are available, just those NOT buy a larger city. When I told them this was essentially illegal (charging same for different levels of service) they were pretty quick to back down. I have to wonder if they were "testing" the market to see if they would get push back from those affected. Well with me they lost the bet.

I never get Sunday deliveries by the USPS when Amazon guarantees the item will arrive by then. Not that anything I ordered 4is imperative to have on Sunday but it’s the principle. If the USPS refuses to deliver for them on Sunday in my area then don’t guarantee it will arrive on Sunday. And too bad you weren’t able to get the Instant Pot. That was a heck of a deal IMO. I love mine, use it nearly everyday for something. Everything is not meant to be cooked in them but it sure makes a mean pot roast and ribs. Kanyon71
So I decided I would complain about the InstantPot, didn't think they would care or do anything. I was pleasantly surprised though. They had me purchase it at the price it is now ($100) and are refunding me the difference between that and the Prime Day price. So I get it after all and only pay the price I was trying to pay then.
