So, it's time. Wrapping has to be done.

Do you love it? Hate it?

Do you use bags mostly, wrapping paper mostly, or a good mix?

Do you wrap as you go, last minute, or just whenever?

Where do you wrap? Do you sit on the floor or use a table?

Anyone help?

What do you wrap? Everything? Non -Santa? Stocking stuffers?

Does everyone have their own paper? Do you have a theme?

Do you use bows, ribbon, or any other decorations?

I wrap whenever. It is usually late at night once everyone is in bed. I use to tell my daughters that santa said you have been to good all year and he had to bring you stuff periodically because it would take up space for the other children. I love the wrapping it is time consuming and a headache every year but I can truly say I love it. I usually wrap everything within reason. If it is huge I try to get those giant gift bags. I usually mix wrapping paper but last year I tried to stick to a color theme to match the tree decorations. When the kids was small I did there favorite character and yes bows goes on everything

I actually like to wrap. Once I get started. Which is hard. It reminds me of my grandmother. She loved to wrap, and I always loved to help her. But I make it hard, I take too much time trying to pick out the best paper, tissue, bag, gift tag...

I mostly wrap. I use a few bags, but seems I never have the right size for something. I don't have a lot of large bags, and it's hard to find ones I like.

I don't have a schedule. I definitely do not wrap as I shop. Partly because I am still deciding what will be wrapped, and if I need to combine any gifts to make the kids presents to open even. I wrapped a bunch on Christmas Eve once. That was no fun, and I didn't get to enjoy seeing the gifts under the tree. So I won't do that again.

I sometimes wrap in my bedroom, when the kids were little I'd close myself in there. The last few years I've done the living room, but we don't have the big soft rug we used to have anymore. So we'll see. I sit on the floor, but that sure does hurt my back. I don't think I'd have enough room at my table though. I might try.

No one helps me. Which is fine.

Santa's gifts are not wrapped. But we may not do Santa this year.

I use an assortment of paper, everyone does not have their own. I do however have a theme. Gingerbread and candy. It matches my tree theme.

I usually don't use bows. I love bows, but they don't stick well. Some years I get adventurous and use ribbon. And I have some little dangly things I like to use for some gifts, like bells, gingerbread men, and candy canes.

I enjoy wrapping. I wrap almost everything except for the small stocking stuffers and any real big item (use those big gift bags). I try to break up my wrapping among several days so I am not overwhelmed.

I love to wrap and prefer a wrapped box over gift bags but sometimes there just isn’t a box for certain gifts. I actually wrapped several small gifts last night for my package that will be shipped overseas and some of my SS gifts.

I don’t typically have a ton of gifts so I rarely use an entire roll of paper each year but I always buy new for the current year and everyone gets the same paper. No re-using the same paper year to year. LOL. I used to use bows but I’ve traded them in for the ribbon the last few years. I stink at tying bows but at least the wire-edged ribbon can be fluffed up if it gets squished during travel.

I usually wrap everything in one sitting because I don’t have a spot where I can leave the supplies out. So one good marathon session in the floor (yes, it kills my back too) so I can put away everything. I’m very anal about the tissue paper matching the primary color of the wrapping paper. LOL. The hazards of Being a scientist I suppose. So red and green are the primary colors of tissue paper.

I think everything I have for family gifts this year can be wrapped. YAY! The biggest issue I have is deciding what paper to use. I’m a clearance Christmas wrapping paper hoarder. :)

I do a mix of wrapping and gift bags. I'm an awful wrapper though. I just don't have the patience so my packages tend to look a bit like Pinterest fails. I can make some cute gift bags though :) Edited by Coastiwife

I love wrapping! I wrap whenever I have time usually about 3 different nights. I prefer using wrapping paper with lots of decorations like ribbon and bows and small ornaments. I do use bags too because some things are impossible to wrap. I’d prefer to sit on the floor, but have to wrap on the dining room table because the dog and cat are too nosy! :)

I wrap on the floor usually, and prefer boxes.  Seems funner to unwrap a box I think.

My youngest daughter is the only reliable wrapping helper left around; I've been know to tape boxes shut and have someone wrap their own present.  I tend to not label gifts, I like to keep them guessing.  I will use a code on the bottom of them, like the second letter of their name, or whatever.

I used to be "the helper" so I've wrapped my own boxed gifts many a time.  :)

I plan to wrap each gift as I purchase them and put them under the tree, for THE FIRST TIME EVER!

I don't have a Santa Believer since 1991 and it's gonna be GREAT!!!!

i guess i like to wrap cause you see the accomplishment when done..or when i have packed a box of wrapped gifts up,to put away till Christmas .

i wrap.. seldom do i use a bag. though like others if its a HUGE item i will put it in a bike bag.though i have actually wrapped a few refrigerator size boxes in the past.

i try to wrap as i go.. or dedicate a certain number of gifts to do a night/day..(then double it as i realize i have fallen behind..lol)

where i wrap wll depend on the size of the item..
the last few years i have had some help.. best thing is when one was watching me wrap and not paying attention ,as they were wrapping something else on the floor.. and then when i was done they saw me write their name.lol
i wrap EVERYTHING ,
no specific paper or theme.. i dont know how those with certain paper keep up.. i never tried it.. and to late this year. lol
due to the amount of presents i normally wrap a year, i dont bother with bows or decoratiosn other then the paper.

i will add a little odd thing i thought was the way everyone wraps.. till people have given me odd looks when they see my set up.. no scissors . i use a butter knife to cut the paper... and usually the back side.  i measure the paper to the inch .. and use all the scraps on smaller gifts.

A butter knife?!?! Hunh. I guess it works better than scissors then?

I’m not always the best at measuring but I do some pretty good sharp edges on the white gift boxes. My aunt used to swat my hands if she caught me not running my fingers along the edges of the shirt boxes as I wrapped to “sharpen” the edges. :)

Here's the deal, lol...I have no kids and I'm very crafty yet lazy at the same time...therefore most of the gifts I give end up in a bag with coordinating tissue paper and I will usually make frilly bows to put on the bag. I honestly don't mind wrapping, but most all the gifts I give are to adults and I figure they don't mind one way or the other so I take the easy way out. I don't wait until the last minute but I also don't do it too early...I usually do it about a week before Christmas. I do my "wrapping" in the floor of our guest bedroom...plenty of space and away from the cats who always think they need to help  :g_dance:

We wrap almost everything. We use a few bags. The wrapping is done in tables or floor. Usually we watch a Christmas movie while we wrap. No frills or themes here but each person has their own wrapping paper.  My mom, DD14 and I wrap together. Usually we have already started but there is going to be a lot of company for Thanksgiving so we will start the week after.

I do a combination of wrapping and gift bags for those really oddly shaped gifts. I find it hard to get motivated to wrap until the tree goes up but once it’s up I pick a couple of weeknights and wrap on a card table while watching TV (usually a Christmas special). I do store bought bows and my wrapping is nice but not perfect. My husband’s is perfect but he is sooooooo slow. If it’s just going to get ripped off anyway I don’t really care about perfection. I just want it to look good for a few pictures [emoji12]

A couple weeks ago I bought a new folding table for my craft room, but hadn't put it up yet. So this weekend while I was shopping, my husband and son set me up a "wrapping station" in the extra bedroom. :) I always keep the paper and bags and tissue downstairs in that room anyway. So now I have a place to wrap, and I don't have to keep running up and down the stairs. And I don't have to sit on the floor and hurt my back. Yay, I'm so excited. I'm (almost) excited to start wrapping now.

Started wrapping Monday - but still haven't even finished hubby's gifts - too many distractions... At this rate - everything might be wrapped by NEXT Christmas. LOL! ;)

I purchased a lot of gift bags this year - mostly to make the little bit of wrapping hubby does for me easier for him - as last year he threatened to NEVER buy another gift if he had to wrap again. ;) Perhaps I can get him started wrapping earlier than Dec. 24th is year!

I wrap for 8 or more people each year and even wrap stocking stuffers - takes a LONG time! Everything gets wrapped unless it is just too darn big - like the smoker hubby is getting this year.

Having Alexa to play my Christmas playlist for me helps a lot. :)

Wishing all of you a beautiful holiday season, ♥

I wrapped about 25 presents today. Got everything wrapped for my husband and both boys that are still home. Got about half of my daughter's done before I gave out. The first 3 presents got ribbons... The rest did not!! I bought new wrapping paper and bags last year that I forgot about, so I have a new paper color scheme.

Having all the wrapping paper in one room and having a table in there has worked out well, I'm really loving that.

Have not even started yet and I am dreading it this year. I need to get more gift boxes too; lots of clothes this year. Hopefully, one night this week I can get started.

I have scheduled this Sunday to wrap :).  It will be an all day affair. But I will put on White Christmas, then Holiday Inn, then watch a few more of the Hallmark movies on the DVR, and get it knocked out.
