mcwalker Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 (edited) It's time for a quick poll: do you expect to shop only on-line, only in-store, or a mix? I will be buying most anything I can online so I don't have to transport it on my three day drive back to home, but I will be going to stores, too. Edited November 4, 2017 by mcwalker
stationchief Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 Online only. Long as you don't need any major in-store only doorbuster electronics, why leave the comfort of your own couch? Plus most online doorbusters start earlier.
Bopeep Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 I will get most of my "really wants" online, if I can. But we always go out, and when we do I always find more to buy.
jaymacfla Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 Online only. Long as you don't need any major in-store only doorbuster electronics, why leave the comfort of your own couch? Plus most online doorbusters start earlier. As we know, this wasn't the case until online stock reliability improved and cancellations became a distant bad memory.
mgreen Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 I knock off a few stops on the 2-day shopping trip and do them online.
len_mullen Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 I voted mostly online, but while most of my shopping and purchases will be online, most of my money will be spent in stores as new smart phones will be purchased locally.
stewarta4 Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 Both. I get a decent amount of stuff online...but would BF really be BF without venturing out into the craziness? Sent from my iPhone using GottaDEAL 3
HanShotFirst Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 Hope to do mostly online but that’s dependent on Walmart “doorbusters”. It wouldn’t be Black Friday weekend without post-turkey lunch shopping there though
Brad Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 100% online. I may go to a few stores later on Friday when things calm down on the site just to get out of the house, but I don't plan on buying anything while I'm out.
wittenlover Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 Both. My cat litter from PetSmart would be a pretty big burden on my poor delivery guys in the quantities I typically buy. lol (Plus Meijer may have the better deal and I can't really shop online with them.) lilwywy Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 I do a mix because sometimes I can't get everything I need online. Sent from my SM-T310 using GottaDEAL mobile app 1
Kash Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 Mostly in store, some online. I look forward to my time out with my older kids.
arf110106 Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 Online only as I don't have anyone to shop with AND in the past I have been very successful doing it this way. I'm excited as this will be my 1st black friday since 2013!
jgm8 Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 Both... I will start with online and head out a little later for the “just in case” gifts 1
chester5 Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 Mostly online....but it's not Black Friday without my in-store visit to MENARDS on Black Friday. Worth it! 1
Love4Fashion Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 I will do both. I will shop online to get some must have gifts and venture out to get gifts checked off my list. It wouldn’t be Black Friday if I didn’t get out into the craziness! Plus my Black Friday wouldn’t be complete without a stop at Menards (love that place)!
HappyHolidays Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 Definitely both. I will try to order online anything I can before heading out to the stores. Seems like they are offering a decent selection of items on line these days. Sent from my iPhone using GottaDEAL
Kanyon71 Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 We will split it pretty well. Some of the things we want that are online doorbusters will have to be online as we don't go out on Thanksgiving.
ytmomof4 Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 In store have never tried online I'm afraid I won't get what I want Sent from my iPhone using GottaDEAL
budgetsRsexy Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 Definitely both. Some of the things I need are from stores that we don’t have locally so I order those online. Also I don’t go out Thursday so if I think an item I want will sell out I will order that online too (usually with in store pick up if it’s an option since I will be out on Friday anyway). I go out early Friday to be out with the crowds and to pick up anything left on my list. Sent from my iPad using GottaDEAL
Peppermint Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Both. I'll be shopping Kohls when it goes live for the bulky items, towels, pillows, etc. I don't want to be lugging that around and having it take up space in the car. Sent from my iPhone using GottaDEAL
Rnoski Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Mostly online... but ill still hit a few stores Sent from my iPhone using GottaDEAL
cllehto Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Mostly online...unless something I really want is in stores only.
tbarry1974 Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 I do both now. Sent from my SM-G930R4 using GottaDEAL mobile app
angelicswtnss Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Both. I'll be 1000 miles from home this year so I have to get all my bigger items online. I'll pick up a few smaller items in store though. It wouldn't be Black Friday if I wasn't out in all the craziness!!! Sent from my SM-N920T using GottaDEAL mobile app
Turner1997 Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Definitely both! Sent from my iPhone using GottaDEAL
nini Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Both for me! I'll shop doorbusters online & head out to the stores on Friday. Sent from my iPhone using GottaDEAL
mcwalker Posted November 9, 2017 Author Posted November 9, 2017 Well, the results of this poll so far support the widely reported decline of brick and mortar retail. https://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2017/04/retail-meltdown-of-2017/522384/ Only one person reported in the thread (not the poll) that they don't plan to shop online on Black Friday, and the mostly online and about 50/50 far exceed the mostly in stores crowd now (especially among our online savvy crowd here at GottaDeal).
