When to expect Black Friday ads to leak this year

As I've done the past few years, I've looked at the data from the past several years including when the ad was leaked for some popular stores and what date Black Friday fell on each year. Based on these numbers and this year's Black Friday date (November 24th), here is the "average" day you can expect these ads this year:

November 5: Sears, Sam's Club
November 6: Kohl's, JCPenney, Meijer, Macy's
November 7: Best Buy, Walmart, Target, Toys R Us, Kmart
November 8: Office Depot, Gander Mountain, Walgreens
November 9: Staples
November 10: CVS Pharmacy, Bass Pro Shops
November 11: Dick's Sporting Goods
November 12: Menard's, GameStop
November 13: Lowe's, Old Navy
November 15: Home Depot
November 24: Black Friday 2017

You can go back through the last 11 years to see the leaked dates for many stores here: http://blackfriday.gottadeal.com/Dates

Of course you may remember that the last few years we had a crazy 36-hour periods that saw ads from Walmart, Best Buy, Target, Kohl's and many others all released right after each other. I expect something similar this year around November 6-8 (and the data above backs it up), so be prepared...

Appreciate the time and effort.. I was just looking at the old data earlier to see what the next ad or who the next ad might be from and when... (other than Half Price Books)

Kind of itching for the deals this year.

That little factoid is even more interesting than the Revelation today. Thank you for looking that up

Is it just me or doe's it seem like it's taking so long for any of the major ad's to roll in ? I will be doing as much of mine as I can online this year so I'm ready to start my list! LOL

Me too! Remember when laptops were big? Now it's those beautiful 4K TVs with HDR. These are the good old days.

I keep hoping for a really good deal on a Surface Pro. I don't NEED one but I want to mess with one. :)

I think Gander Mountain may be gone. I know all the locations any place near me have closed in the past year. The dates look about right for most, especially Best Buy and Walmart, the 2 main places I care about. I figured between the 7th and the 11th this year based on previous release dates. Doesn't mean it may not release early and then under threat, be pulled again, as usual.

So I just googled them they filed for bankruptcy back in May, seems they closed most of their stores and by looking at their website they are in the process of rebranding themselves and will be Gander Outdoors

but there are still some locations out there just pretty sparse it looks like

You are correct, the person who owns Camping World bought Gander Mountain from the bankruptcy court, he kept some of the stores (based on lease rates and sales from the past). All in all I would say it's now owned by a pretty stable company. Sort of odd he changed the name since it's one of the things he bought.

I forgot that last year Kohl's posted their ad on their site at like 5am on a Friday morning. If they do it again this year, it'll be next Friday :)
