Nate Dogg Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 I really underestimated the popularity of The Lego Movie. Last year there were tons of the generic bricks Lego sets even the next day. This year I was 15 feet from them and they were gone. Also hit 5 other Walmarts Thanksgiving night and they were all gone there as well. Next year I know to go after those first.
redraccoon Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 There were lots of copies of the Lego movie around in blu ray and dvd - but the brick sets were flying out of there. I think the display was wiped out in less than ten minutes.

suzy3333 Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 The first (main) walmart I went to only received 16 of those Lego creative tower bricks. I left my 16 year old at them while I was at the 2nd must have item. He was able to get all the Lego creative towers we needed.
thuender Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 My wife grabbed two of the $30 LEGO block kits right away! They only had 12 at our store. They were gone in 15 seconds! They were twice the size as previous years. Our sons love LEGO's and we use them as part of our gift bags for their birthday parties.
stacya Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 wow, and I thought the fact that our store got 30 was bad...our store also had 10 of the Duplo towers, 3 of which were still there when I walked past the pallet about 5-10 minutes later--but all of the LEGO ones were gone...and I kept my hand on mine in my cart the rest of the time I was in the store, because I knew they were a HOT item!!
