I've gotten a TON of great bargains and deals throughout my MANY years of Black Friday shopping and thought it would be fun to hear what others have gotten that they consider their BEST Deal or Deals from their Black Friday shopping sprees. Lets share... :)

Probably the boots from khols online last year. I paid 19.99 (I think) and they were 80.00 boots.

 

My mom got the coveted 99 tv from walmart last yr. that was a good deal. I've already got the gopro whatever+ in layaway, along with a laptop for our daughter but ill be really happy to get it on a deal on bf and then pull mine out.

Probably several years back - @ Wal-Mart the Nintendo DS games were really cheap, like $5. Those made my kids so happy that year. Next would be Pet Beds one year for $5 , I have three fur babies , so that was good.

Probably the most memorable was the year of Tickle Me Elmo. That was also the first year I brought my oldest with. I think he was 13 or 14. We were in line at TRU and second. The employee came out and said they had some in stock. I didn't even plan on getting one but when the doors opened I ran for it and got one for my middle son. My son that I brought with couldn't believe I ran in a store, or that I ran at all. Then he noticed everyone else running too. :D

Value wise we've gotten a lot of use out of the free after rebate rice cooker last year. Sheer amazement at deal... last year Saturday after bf best buy had game of thrones Bluray boxed sets for like 29.99. I was able to pick up a set for myself and another for my Aunt to gift cousins

So many great deals, I'd be hard pressed to say what the best one was.   Last year, though, I started tracking not only what I spent but what I saved, and I saved over $400 on my daughter in law alone.  :g_dance:

So many deals it is hard to pick one but the most memorable was the Walmart TV several years ago.  It was later in the day and found they had one left that no one claimed so I got it for doorbuster price

Sears had 32 inch Seki televisions (60 hz 720p) for $97.00. Purchased 2 online when the sale started. Got a call from the mgr. the next day offering me two 39 inch Seki televisions (120 hz 1080p) at the same price because they ran out of the 32 inch televisions and a couple of customers turned down the larger televisions because they wanted the smaller ones. After saying "yes" I couldn't get to Sears fast enough. The young man who loaded the televisions said in a long slow tone "I heard you got a reeeeeeeal good deal on these tvs!" Later looked at the regular price for these televisions and they were over $400 then. Both are still working very well.

The first year Walmart rolled out the Secret Saturday deal before Black Friday and I got my parents a SMOKIN' good deal on a TV. No one knew what I was doing or why I was hugely pregnant sitting on the floor waiting for a register to open at 8 am but eventually people figured it out and lined up with me. Just regular people doing normal shopping who heard what I was waiting for and decided they too were going to leave with a TV, haha!

For me, it isn't so much a best deal as a best time. I remember...it must have been 1997 or 1998...we went out in my moms minivan, hitting Kmart, Target, Walmart, and JCP...MERVYN'S! (Ahh the Mervyn's sale!!) back in the days when they used to do scratchers and give aways to the first people in the doors. I remember loading that van so full we had to make a pitstop back at my mom's house, unload, and go back out for more. Later we would hit Thrifty, Long's Drugs for wrapping paper and stocking stuffers. Afterward we'd fill up on a plate of leftover T-giving dinner.

 

I don't stand in line anymore. I shop online with trigger finger. We'll venture out on Friday after the morning rush dies down. These days, most of the hot deals are still lingering later in the day and Saturday.

I always look toward the total value of merchandise vs retail.  I think the biggest one I did recently was a Samsung TV, even though it was only like 3 or 400 off at the time that year I saved about $3000 in total.  I think the DVD Bluray Season Sales are a regular favorite of mine saving anywhere between $20 and $50 a season.

60" Vizio smart TV at Walmart last year for $497- about $200 less than the door buster price.  Was there black friday morning and it was an unadvertised managers special- they were getting rid of the leftovers they hadn't sold the night before.

Ours was a higher end item. 50" Toshiba Plasma TV back in 06. The TV was in BestBuy for around $2600 on sale most of the year, B.F. it was a DoorBuster and we got it for $1499 with free delivery and setup. 0 problems with the TV to this day, when we relocated from FL to MI in July we gave it to my inlaws to replace their failing DLP (that was purchased a few months before ours and was on it's 3rd bulb). They are still enjoying it now and to be honest I really don't see that changing anytime soon.

I best deal was when I purchased 4 new tires at Sears I had to put 454 out, I received at check out the shop your way points at sears plus a 100.00 gift card to go Christmas shopping in the store. So I spent money and received something as well.

Nov 2011 I bought 4 new tires from sears I spent $454.00 I received the shop your way points at check out and a $100.00 instant gift card to do more shopping the same day.

 

Nov 2009 online at shopnbc I bought my daughter the Xbox 360 w/kinect, 3 games, wireless controller, 2 months of free 2 months of Xbox live gold and 2 years of warranty which included drops and spills 579. Which we did in payments 107. For 6 months.

Every year I get excited about something I bought. I just can't remember specifics. I do remember KB Toys had a great sale on Fisher Price toys one year Does anyone else remember that sale.

There are a few years/items that stand out.  The year of the (first) Furby, where my mother, sister, eldest niece and I stood in line for about 4 hours at KB Toys to get 4 of them for the "older" kids in the family.  I had seen and ordered 2 of them from EBGames about a month earlier, so I was just being helpful to the others.

The year that Walmart had the Philips mp3 players on sale.  Snagged 3 of them because my kid was smart enough (and knew one of them was for her) to follow the guy around the store to find out where they would be.

Getting a Princess Diana doll at Boscov's - we had to drive a hour away to get it.  Lucky to find one that had been abandoned in the men's department of the store, because they were otherwise gone.

All of these are memorable both for the items and because of the fun we had waiting and driving around.  I really miss those days.

The absolute best though, was the year that Walmart (finally) opened closer than 40 miles away.  Hubby and I were second in line to get a tv and a dvd player for our daughter, who was sleeping peacefully at home while her grandparents babysat.  The tv still works, almost 20 years later, but it's an analog so 'nuff said.
