teach2nuts
This might not be the right place to post this question. I know it is early, but my son is asking for an Xbox one for Christmas. Does anyone think they will come down in price for black Friday? Trying to decide, if I should go ahead and try to start saving $500.00 or pray they come down for the holiday. Any help would be appreciated. I really don't have a lot to spend this year, and was not counting on him asking for anything this big for Christmas. I told him, I really could not afford something so expensive, and he said it is the only thing he wants.
mysschevous
Sorry to say I doubt it will come down by Christmas. I would try to start saving. Also check places like GameStop who may have used systems for less money. Edited June 29, 2014 by mysschevous

bluebear
I think the $399 version does not have Kinect with it. The $499 has Kinect.
jesusluvu
I want to say that Best Buy or Walmart is giving like a $150-$250 credit for your old xbox system with the purchase of a new one.
Tara3117
It's just my opinion, but I think you should spend the extra $100 to get the Kinect. You really don't get the full effect of many of the games without it. I guess you could figure out what type of games he wants to play and see if they require it. I'd say that most games do. (Also, without the Kinect, you can do the whole "XBox On" thing that you see in the commercials!) I think the best you could do on Black Friday is a gift card offer or some free games bundled in, but I don't think you'll see it come down from the $399/$499 price. When we priced out the XBox One, we settled on Target because of the 5% off with the Red Card and we use the Target pharmacy, so we used our extra 5% rewards. If you pay close attention, you might be able to find a deal on the limited bundles once they've been to market for awhile. They took $50 off the Titanfall bundle this summer. I'm not sure what bundle is out right now that you should watch for.

bluebear
look on xbox.com they re marked down to 399.99It says starting at $399. The $399 version does not have Kinect. The $499 bundle has a game, Kinect, and 1 month of live. Pretty good deal if you can swing it.And I agree, the "deal" will be in a bundle and/or gift card. bpr
As mentioned, the holiday deals are usually bundled. Watch for those. It might still be $499, but you will get more. In fact, I think Best Buy had it recently with a $50 Xbox live GC which can be used to buy movies and game DLC. Even Ebay has had this and the PS4 for $20 off or so recently. There will be deals. Just check back in the 'Black Friday' forum as we get closer to November.
teach2nuts
Thanks everyone! My son has talked to many people that have an Xbox one and was told they glitch a lot. My son has a Wii U and has decided on an XBOX 360. I am guessing since they are an older system there will be some good deals on those for Christmas.
