Tigger97498 Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Love them opening on Friday but the ads not that impressive no wow stuff 3
thuender Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Thanks Brad! I think this is the first time in 3 years you've gotten this ad so early! 1
rockpzazz Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 I think its great they are stying closed on Thanksgiving (I'm not against stores being open, I just love how they didn't do it because they felt pressured). As for the ad, I saw a couple good things, but nothing I would be upset about not getting. Though I do like those heaters. 1
MattnMissymagic Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Wow Menards is always one store that I like to hit but I didn't really see anything that makes me want to wait in the cold and battle the long lines.
JenT1292 Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 I'm bummed with this ad...I always hit Menards but nothing jumps out at me this year.
doublehsmom Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 I think that it is very nice that they are opening on Friday, I am against anyone opening on Thanksgiving, I saw a lot of things that I want to get can't wait! 1
amez74 Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Love their opening time! A few small items that I plan to pickup, but nothing major at this point.
BigJohn2 Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Not a very good ad this year. A couple things I will go and get. I'm looking to get a new tv and the last couple years Menards had TV's in there black friday ad. Not this year. I guess I will have to look esle were. Later, John
pogiporkchop Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 I haven't looked at the ad yet but it doesn't matter as Menard's isn't out here. It is one store that we really miss!
otonoh Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 nothing even mildly interesting. I was hoping for appliances, instead cheap toys and stuff you find at walgreens.
First Lady Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 (edited) Wow, we've never gotten the ad this early! It's always one of the last to come in. It's a tradition to wait in line at Menards. I've got my eye on a few things, the Webkinz, fleece blankets, coupe other things. Edited November 7, 2013 by First Lady
Brad Posted November 7, 2013 Author Posted November 7, 2013 Might want to save that Menards PDF if you need it... 1
riven3d Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 lol I should have saved that PDF!?? the pdf is still in the first post to grab if you need it
Brad Posted November 8, 2013 Author Posted November 8, 2013 Did I forget to remove the PDF? Oops. I blame it on being tired because Fedex woke me up around 6:30 this morning with their legal letter... 5

elena_398 Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Menards has put up store maps on their website. Just put in your zip code and it will show you where Black Friday items will be located. Funny as Mine is almost all in sections 1,2, and 5. Thankfully my husband daughter are going too so we all will take a section!
First Lady Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 (edited) They handed these maps out to us last year, or the ones towards the front. It's very helpful to have, plus they have balloons at alot of the items. I do notice they dont have the Webkinz on their map, but I'm guessing they'll be in area 1 or 2. I'll be close enough at the front of the line to ask the workers to be sure. Silly I'm going to stand in the freezing cold for silly stuffed animals...well a few other silly things too. Oh and a popcorn tin. LOL. Im right with ya.
elena_398 Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Got everything on my list and then some. Husband added $49 heater. He just couldn't pass it up. lol
toolmaan Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 I got in and got the 18 gun safe, it was a good price I was surprised I bet they had at least 20 of them, several people getting a ticket for one.
elena_398 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Menards in Massillon so crazy and crowded that they shut down the southbound lane on Route 21 which is a highway! I had 2 ladies follow me to my vehicle asking me to let me give them my cart. They got in huge verbal argument about who asked first. I just emptied my cart and pushed it towards them. God only knows who won. Got in my car. LOL
elena_398 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Heres what I scored: $49 heater, Dog Bed, Dog toys, Cookie pan set, aromatherapy animals (got them last year and loved them so had to get the other animals offered) , aromatherapy slippers (daughter bought the giraffe ones. Too cute), wax starter kits x 2 with TONS of refills to last us for awhile, faux suede pillows, popcorn tin, giant snickers bar (husband 'had to have'), wrapping paper, socks, and webkinz.
Leetah Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Scored the 18 gun safe. Good price. Got it all set up yesterday too. Lots of people using trash cans as carts as carts were in short supply.
First Lady Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 (edited) Kicking myself for not picking up the $49 heater! I was within the top 75 in the store so no reason why I shouldn't have gotten one, except it wasn't initial on my to buy list. I got all sorts of goodies and was out in 20 minutes with people waiting or my cart and parking spot. I went back about 4 hours later with my son and bought a few more little things, heaters were all gone though. It was still very busy. Our store probably has the $1.44 blankets left, one big box of them was hidden, in fact I was the first person to dig through them, about 5 minutes into opening and when we went back hours later the box was almost full still. Very weird as those usually go right away! Edited November 30, 2013 by First Lady
