jgm8 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 (edited) I am hoping to get some gift ideas for DD16. She has everything.... iPad mini, iPhone, Tv, blu ray palyer. Being the only child, only grand child, and first great.... She tends to be a little spoiled. Okay, if we are being honest, a lot spoiled. Her birthday was in September, which makes this more difficult. She will get gift cards for books, some earrings, make up, etc for her stocking. I would like to find something, perhaps, out of the box. Any suggestions would be great! While she wouldn't care if there wasn't a pile under the tree, but I am hoping to find something. Thanks! speeddiva Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 An experience gift....hot air balloon ride, ziplining, parasailing, GC for a year at the movies, segway tour...I agree. My favorite gift from last year was concert tickets and a GC to the Richard Petty Driving School. 1
Elmck Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Manicure and pedicure certificates, horseback riding lessons (DD10's suggestion)
Peppermint Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Makeup kits, hair accessories, new tools-curler, Straightener? Bath and body works, perfume, clothes & shoes.
NovemberDiva Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 My dd12 has a younger brother and they are both spoiled thanks to my extended family. She has everything under the sun so this year Im getting her cookinig classes because she loves cake boss, chopped, iron chef and all those shows. I am really trying to focus more on giving experiences to everyone because we have too much stuff!! 1
bluebear Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 What about some kind of chest, foot locker, etc. For memory stuff, start stocking up for college, or something of the sorts.
Danascraps Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 I also have a 16 yr old DD. Some ideas I have for her are the new curling irons that make ringlet curlsmakeup brushesStarbucks gchair chalkpretty little liars DVDprom magazineseyelash curlerphone caseiphone speakers. Of course what she really wants is a car!!!
jendeere Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 My DD will be 15 just before Christmas. She has been dying for a DSLR camera. I'm hoping to find a deal on the Canon T3-a bundle would be nice. It is hard when they already have everything lol. I also agree with another poster, an experience gift is also great. Concert tickets and let her take a friend or a ski trip etc.
biomajor Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 How about a Pandora bracelet that you could begin to add charms to? My daughter loves hers. 1
jgm8 Posted November 2, 2013 Author Posted November 2, 2013 For her birthday, we got her a day at the spa. She was over the moon! I looked into getting tickets to see Pink in concert, but it's on a Wednesday..... If she misses a day of school for something like that, she can't compete in the next swim meet... Off to look at her iPhone for other music ideas..... Thank you everyone! Keep the ideas coming!
amood06 Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Does she like cooking? I got my daughter the cake pop maker from Kohls which also is a donut and cupcake maker. I don't know about your daughter but mine goes threw headphones quickly so that is always a Christmas present. This year I was thinking about wireless headphones because her cord is always tangled and it gets on my nerves, apparently it doesn't bother her though. If there's anywhere that she has been bugging you to go, setting that up for her would be great also. It seems that everyone's comments about experience gifts would be great, if she already has everything she would probably love that more.
