Great Dane Mom
I know nowhere else to ask. I tried ask.com -zip- How or where do people buy advance sale tickets to concerts? Queen + Paul Rodgers is going to be less than 15 miles from my house and I want to do everything possible to get tickets at a fair price. Any help would be most appreciated!! I checked into the Official International Queen Fan Club and they said they buy blocks of tickets and have some available for members. I don't know... hpowers
For Kenny Chesney, I was able to get good seats by joining the fan club. For Dora The Explorer, same thing, I actually got the first seats available. Try searching for different fan clubs. My family is getting too used to good seats that we could possibly never go back to the cheap seat!

elena_398
I got 2nd row seats to Clay Aiken last time he was in town. Eventually ended up meeting him. I have two computers and had them both ready when ticketmaster started to sell them at 10am. I tried for about 30 seconds on both when those 2 tickets came up. I was shaking so bad I could hardly put my info in. LOL. Within 8 minutes, the whole concert sold out. Some of it like in my case is LUCK
cinnamon16201
Yep, I get all mine at Ticketmaster.com. When we went to England we got fantastic seats for Phantom and at a decent rate. Almost center of the very first row! I just ordered tix for Trans-Siberian Orchestra in Pittsburgh this month. Unfortunately I have found that some of the other online tix sales buy up the really great seats and then scalp them for huge amounts! Stub Hub wanted over $100 for the same concert and the seats weren't that much better. In fact ours will probably be better because we are in an elevated area, where they are flat on the floor with no elevation to see over people's heads. I paid 42.50 each (plus big taxes, but that's City of Pittsburgh's and Mellon Arena's fault, not Ticketmaster)
elena_398
Do you have any concert ticket clubs in your area? Belkin club is a concert/sports club that you pay a yearly fee for. You get super tickets and buy in advance. My parents belong to it and nowadays if we do use them, our tickets are always on the floor in the first 15 rows. Its expensive though, but worth it if your like us who hate nose bleed seats
mistral
find the fan club for the artist you like, sign up and you can sometimes get presale codes. I believe ticketmaster also does this. You can join and get presales codes. Linda
civicracinggirl7
1. visit the artist's web site, search around - artists without fan clubs will have this information available somewhere, it may not be easily found though but some searching around should bring it up 2. join a fan club if possible/available - by this, i mean official clubs. unofficial clubs may release the information as well, however. it will cost money to join the official clubs though. 3. sign up for ticketmaster.com updates/promos - i've received advance ticket opportunites for the theatre, as well as special discount offers for certain shows. i also get the weekly updates that include what artists are coming to my area, when tickets go on sale, etc. 4. sign up for updates/promos at your favorite venues - we recently went to a concert at house of blues in atlantic city. i now receive an email from them at least once a week with upcoming events, special offers if available, etc. 5. sign up for updates/promos from your local favorite radio station - another thing that i did recently. i have since received a handful of emails announcing advance ticket presales for some artists, upcoming dates, etc.

Great Dane Mom
Thanks for the info! I joined the International Queen Fan Club and did indeed purchase tickets 12/8/05. (Got some great seats!!) Sale to the general public is tomorrow starting at 10:00 am. They were passing out wristbands yesterday to guarantee people a place in line, not a ticket, but a place in line.
