I just started today on my christmas shopping. When I seen my Target have some PSP games for 5.98 One of my nephews has a PSP so picked a few games up for him. So was just wondering if anyone has just started by finding items on sale that you know someone will want.

I pick stuff up year round, as I see it. I picked up some jewelry on the sell off at shadora.com a few days ago and planet earth on blu ray for 19.99 from amazon after bestbuy backordered the same. I also picked up a few waffle cone makers at the Target after summer clearance figuring it'd be fun to make with younger children.

I have a few things put away for teachers and close friends. I also got quite a bit for the grandkids at the Target toy clearance. I have started to really price things that dd9 is asking for trying to figure out how to stretch the budget dollars as far as I can. My oldest DD is in the process of buying a house, so I am sure she will be easy this year.

I start my christmas shopping every year at the end of July when Target had their toy clearance. I have things for all 3 kids already. I will buy things I see on clearance but will buy more once November gets here.

I picked up stuff after christmas last year and year long. Gonna be lean this year so trying to find deals as I go along. Will still get stuff during BF cause just love that online and in-store shopping.

We normally start early but this year just haven't had the time to do it.

This year has gone by really fast too (at least for me). It seems that I only get to really shop on Saturdays. I do get to run in to Target or Kohls in the morning sometimes in between dropping dd off at school and getting to work so that helps some. I was looking at the calendar and realized that if I only shop 1 day a week between now and Christmas I only have 17 days to shop!!! I think online shopping will be my friend this year.

It seems like we blinked and summer was over. We will hopefully get some done before BF gets here but we will most likely get 90% of it done on BF then finish off the rest over the next few weeks. We ALWAYS end up out shopping for each other the last day before Christmas. We head to target she heads off one way, I head off the other way and we get all the little things we need for each other from us and from our daughter. Then we meet up after it's paid for and bagged up. We head home to different rooms and wrap. I like to call this the Craziness that is life... Better than one year many years back before I was married I had been out of town for some time working got home Christmas eve and had to do the mad dash to shop for my family. Luckily the few stores I needed where open and I had everything picked out ahead of time. I was exhausted and ready to sleep just as everyone was arriving at my families house for the celebration. Mind you this was 16-17 years ago :)

Santa has started shopping at our house. He's picked some great deals on the Lego pirate ships, thanks to WalMart! Besides Lego and Pokemon cards, I have no dear what DS5 wants.

Used to I would shop clearance all year, and would already have a nice stash by now. Now that the kids are older, that's hard to do. Now they usually just get a big something then little stuffs and clothes. Looks like 2 of them want Surfaces (Microsoft tablet) and the other wants a laptop. So that kinda cuts down on my early shopping!

I would like to start on the little things and other family soon though, it's going to all come too fast! Guess I need to start thinking and making lists...

I still have some items from last year that I did not put under the tree because I had bought so much! I didn't use my normal spreadsheet tracking method so I had forgotten some of the items I had purchased - ooops! I ended up with a stupid amount of items and decided to just store some of them away for birthdays and this year! LOL! I still have a lot of shopping to do, but I'm guessing between my closet stash and birthday bin I could put on a decent Christmas for the two little ones at least! The 12 yr old is another story... Kindle Fire and clothes this year, but she BF shops with me now (she'll be 13 this year) and I'll probably buy most of her stuff that day.

I only bought one thing all year, and that was in January. lol

Got a sweet clearance deal on something my cousin is going to love. Don't have too much to get, so I'm not worried about it. I'm sure I'll find plenty of deals over the next few months.

I went to a brand new outlet mall this weekend and actually found some really good deals (not common for me and outlet malls). I grabbed 5 Christmas presents and was thinking if I keep up at this rate, I might not need to go out on Black Friday (still will go.. it is a 18 year tradition for me).

So are you buying Christmas now or waiting to see the ads?

I will be putting a basketball goal for my boys on layaway Friday. I will also be putting the NAbi 2 on layaway for my daughter. If I see something else that any of them want that I know will not go on sale or will be hard to get I will go ahead and pick it up or put it on layaway..
