julz0420
Its in the ad for 39 ish dollars on BF but I got mine tonight for that price. (same model number) So at least here, in Illinois, they are already at the ad price. Just in case anyone else was wanting one... Check and see if your Wal Mart is doing it now also. :) Julie

RossMAN
Julie, Thanks for the tip. Is it the Lexmark X1185 All-in-One for $39.88?
julz0420
Lexmark X1185 is what I got! I just got it so I'm not sure how well it works but I know it DOES include a black AND a color cartridge. :) I'll let you know how it works. Spotted1
Is it any good?? Worth the $40?Absolutely! I had one up until last year when we moved and it "mysteriously" didn't make it to the new house. ( ) They're very good scan quality. The only complaint is the cost of ink is almost more than what you pay outright for the printer!

I am wondering what happened. It worked a couple weeks ago when the ad was put up. Thinking that they may have sold out.

julz0420
Hopefully I'll post the pics I took right... This is what it looks like: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y50/maddygrace04/100_3041.jpg (After I took it out of the box) http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y50/maddygrace04/100_3042.jpg I did wonder if that was an everday price but I've never seen it that low myself so I did buy it. I've needed a new scanner and printer for awhile so I'm happy with it! Julie

I guess when I checked the ad online back when it first came out and the price was the same I assumed it was one of the everyday low prices. RossMAN
Sorry to rain in on your parade but wait until you have to refill the ink cartridges. You will be in for a real $$$ shock $$$ they'll cost more than the actual printer does. A few months ago I bought my Canon Pixma MP750 for $99 - $50 rebate = $49 @ Fry's B&M

I was going to get 2 of these on BF, one for me and one for my mom to replace the dinosaur printer she has!! I'm gonna check wm here. That'll save me 2 big boxes taking up room in the car on BF. Guest jrsins
You are better off in the long run if you buy a Canon or an Epson Printer. Both allow ISO Manufacturers to produce ink for their machines. On Ebay I bought 10 ink cartridges for $25.00 including shipping.
Spotted1
I'm a fan of Lexmark, despite the cost of the ink. Could just be cause I'm from Kentucky, though.

heavenlysshine
SO, if I get the Lexmark printer, I can only use the Lexmark ink? I'm not understanding, I guess. I mean, I know ink for printers is outrageous, but will only a certain type fit in this one? ~H~
techanalyst
stop whining about the price of ink. why do you think the printer hardware is more valuable than the ink? it isn't, all the value and the intellectual property of the printer company is in the ink. You can get cheap ink but you get what you pay for. If you want cheap ink then those $40 AIO's would be $150. So stop whining and pay the man

And since I print pics from my digital was so much easier to just buy a new printer.
ebony0421
I need a printer, but I want to make sure that I am understanding. Is the Lexmark a bad printer or are you saying that the ink for the printer is too expensive, so I'd be better off buying a different printer? Thanks.
