Jasonlh1 Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 Hello. I remember doing this once before, but I don't know if I can still do this. If my Target has these items now, can I buy them this week and just bring back my receipt for an adjustment on BF or the day after? Thanks in advance.
ShopperMom Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 That seems to easy, I mean not that it wouldn't be nice, but wouldn't that defeat the purpose of BF?
alimfp Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 It is recommended to either call or go in the store and ask them directly. Each store seems to vary their rules. Make sure to get the name and title of the person you get your answer from.
Jasonlh1 Posted November 14, 2005 Author Posted November 14, 2005 That seems to easy, I mean not that it wouldn't be nice, but wouldn't that defeat the purpose of BF?But I thought that was the point of getting these ads early? That way I can secure my items and go to store that has doorbuster deals.
kalle1212 Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 I am definetely going to find out if my target will do that. Good idea!
ShopperMom Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 I thought the idea of getting them early was just to finalize my shopping list and plan my bf in advance, I'm not saying they shouldn't do that, but I just thought that it would defeat the purpose is all.
shop2much74 Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 Bumping this... has anyone called their store??
Jasonlh1 Posted November 16, 2005 Author Posted November 16, 2005 Bumping this... has anyone called their store??Yes. I did call my local Target. She said their policy is 14 business day price adjustment policy. Just bring in the receipt before the sale ends. So If I were you, start shopping at Target now!!!! Thanks
shopping mom Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 I just called the Chesapeake Va Target, as long as your receipt is within the 14 days they adjust the price!! Guess where I am going tomorrow? Do any other store have tis policy? Sears maybe?
saturnboy01 Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 You all are party poopers!! Doing the shopping now and price adjust later takes all the fun out of BF!! Come on people!! We need to wait til BF to shop then we can all trample each other getting in the door! HA HA.....

We need to wait til BF to shop then we can all trample each other getting in the door! HA HA..... That's the whole reason behind BF besides the good sales :lolrun:
tootsieroll23 Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 That seems to easy, I mean not that it wouldn't be nice, but wouldn't that defeat the purpose of BF?That's what I am doing this year. I only want two things from Target this year. There are other stores that I need to go to and be almost the first in line. I called our Target and they will make the price adjustment on BF day only. No need to bring in the item, just the receipt.
Spotted1 Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 Pardon me while I go reevaluate whether or not there's anything at Target I want. ETA that I don't actually think re-evaluate is a word. and if it is, I'm aim near certain I didn't type it right either time. Must step away from forums.
tootsieroll23 Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Well I hadn't planned on going to Target until the Wednesday before BF, but looks like a lot of people have the same idea. I may need to go earlier than Wednesday.
VonnegutFan Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 I beg to differ - Black Friday is all about getting the best deals! I don't care for standing in-line for 3 hours @ Best Buy or any other store for that matter... especially in Chicago... where it SNOWED today. :)

That's impossible if I go to Target first.
mommy2twingles Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Can anyone tell the model number on the $139 portable dvd player on the front page. I am going tomorrow night and am hoping to pick this up.
allystl Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Thanks for the info. A person on my team for BF just dropped out. I was worried how to do Target and BB and CC. I'm going in the next day or two and buying everything! YAY!
faithlove Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Don't get me wrong, I love my Target, but they are the worst about customer care at the counter here. I find them to be the worst with returns and price adjusting (and won't PM either) I'm going to call my local store, but what do you say? "I saw the BF ad online and want to know if you'll price adjust?" I'm just curious what you said and if you talked to a manager. TIA

TIAI callled and asked their price adjustment policy. she told me I had 14 days from the date of purchase. I asked her, "What if it goes on sale the day after Thanksgiving?" She said bring the receipt in during the sale time and it would be adjusted.
wright1baby Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Alright...I have a question... I buy Fisher Price Tumble Time Tigger for $24.89 and use the $7 off coupon. total price $17.89 Then I can go back and have the price adjusted to 17.76. Are they going to honor the coupon still? They expire 11/23/05. OR...will I get the Tigger for 10.76?? (the answer I want to hear!!!)
kstanettes Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 I agree with Shopper Mom. I get up at 4am to shop. It seems like it wouldn't be fair if you get your item now & get a price adjustment later. If the early birds have to be cold & miserable at the butt-crack of dawn, shouldn't everyone???
Mommie2one Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Did you guys tell them you would price adjust Door Busters on BF? Or BF items in general? Thats the policy for regular items, could be a whole different ball game to adjust BF items. Just thought I'd bring that point up
the kabuki Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Fair,shmare...if Target does price adjustments then that's where i'll be the day before thanksgiving. I only need one thing from there. Anyone know if TRU or Walmart's will do this? Sorry if it spoils the fun of BF. If it makes you feel any better, i'll still be waiting at 4am at the disney store on BF
wright1baby Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 there are no doorbuster items at target. Question remains, can you use the coupon and still get the BF price?
pnlcooper Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Everything we have seen from Target to this point is a 2 day sale, not Doorbusters, as I remember someone else saying Target is not, nor did they last year have doorbusters. Please correct me if I am wrong and I misread ad, but all prices were for 2 day sale as I read it.
Mommie2one Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 The GameBoy SPs are in a special packaging (the bundle). They do not have them on the shelves. They have the SPs by themselves, but not the whole bundle as on sale on BF. If that was the case, I would buy it.

They can't tell what item the coupon was used for. Hope this helps!

Their policy is they will gave you a price adjustment on all purchaseses within 14 days on sale items, not clearance items though!! Just bring your original receipt before the sale ends.
