simonalex Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 check out local newspaper. it should have a list of restaurants that serve thanksgiving dinner and the costs. or you can even call some local restaurants and ask if they serve thanksgiving dinner and the costs. most as for reservation. a freind went to Marie callenders restaurant last yr and really loved it. Simonlex.
ebony0421 Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 Make sure you ask now about reservations, just in case.
VonnegutFan Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 What about catering? No cooking. Simple clean-up.
BLKFRI Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 We went out on Thanksgiving to a Holiday Inn and ate at the restaurant there. The service was terrible! The help really did not like working on the holiday and it showed. Tried Jack in the Box once also, bad and slow service. Now we stay home. But I hear there is a good time at Alice's Restaurant.
MarkRaby Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 If you want to eat Thanksgiving dinner early, you could always go to McDonald's! They're open until 3 PM -Mark-
gisellerol Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 hey theres always a first time for everything
brynnfromtheblock Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 We have the same problem but we have the Thanksgiving meal at around noon or 1, so it gives me time to get everyone out and clean up and still have time to rest
laffnatu Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 I'm taking my MIL out for Thanksgiving dinner this year. First time going out on Thanksgiving too. We had Christmas dinner at Hooter's one year... only because no one wanted to go to Waffle House.
Gumball Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 That might be the perfect idea for me & my daughter. There's just the 2 of us and since I want to hit both Kmart & Big Lots & Meijer that day I wouldn't feel like cooking anyway. LOL

cindy_ds Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 Hi there, First post here too. :) My mom is taking all of us to Old Country Buffet. First time for us eating out on Thanksgiving but not hers. She's a pro at it. :) This way no mess no fuss and will get out early for the Black Friday lines. Cindy
erh12275 Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 We have eaten dinner out 3 of the 4 years since my mom died. Let's just say it's kind of a bummer. Not having the family thing is a big mistake in my opinion. Have it while you still can.
curlygirl1971 Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 We always eat Thanksgiving dinner out. We go to Cracker Barrel. Not sure if that is a national chain or not, but their website has a location finder. We love it because they serve a traditional Thanksgiving dinner for those who want it. My husband hates that kind of thing, so he gets Thanksgiving steak, and my daughter usually has pancakes... It works out perfectly for us and we have more time and energy for shopping!
mom04 Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 My daughter works at Ruby Tuesdays- she says they're open.. Of course she asked for it off since we will be going to a friends an hour away to prep for BF:D
zeebas Posted November 14, 2005 Author Posted November 14, 2005 Thank You very much everyone for your responses! They really helped! I guess I have some thinking to do............
