pogiporkchop Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 DD has formally made her Christmas request for pickles - again. I have no doubt she'll be adding more odd things to her list later and I'll end up sharing them so... what odd requests have you received, past or present? :)
littlesdcen Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Sundrops in the glass bottles. I bought a case.
Mandy4Matt Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Lol, I'm in Texas..and we just recently started having Sundrop sold in our area. Before then it was a huge treat to get Sundrop when we went to visit family in Tennessee (where our Dad is from). I remember it fondly as a child! I think that is an awesome gift request!
PerkynPunctual Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 My daughter is 15 this year. Every year without fail, since she was old enough to make a list, she asks for a pony.

Chewbybell Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 My kindergartener has requested a suitcase from Santa, wouldn't be so odd if she weren't only five.

Jen198 Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 My nephew asked for a vacuum cleaner last Christmas! He has Autism and LOVES Vacuums and Lamps. He is 5 and so cute!.
fluffkin79 Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 DD8: mini car, mini house. Not toys. Real car and house, just child-sized.DD6: real Dora (not sure what she means by that)DS4: a full-size Tansformer robot/car that can walk, talk, and transform itself. Basically, he wants Bumblebee as he is in the movies. If he can't have that, he wants this:http://www.evriholder.com/images/Pepperidge/Goldfish_Container_collage.jpg

momof3luvs1 Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 My dd 9 number 1 request on her list to santa is a traffic light. Literally a red , yellow, and green traffic light to put in her room for decoration...lol
dwc designs Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 My DD6 has officially requested a unicorn! She wants it so we don't have to wait in traffic anymore.
Turtle Mommy Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 We have had many years of ponies and puppies. My oldest did get a puppy one year. There will be no ponies though!
dmtiern Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 My sis's has twin boys, grown now - every year , last item on his list, one twin asks for a new butt (cuz his has a crack in it) LOL Sis always gets him a tube of boudreaux butt paste for his stocking, even now:)
Iliveforblckfri Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 A few years ago my 22 year old son didn't have anything on his list and I was bugging him for a gift idea... He asked for a "Tickle me Elmo" I purchased on at the local used item store. We added the letters E - M - O for him so he had an EMO Elmo that would laugh at the right time.
HansieDZ Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 My sis's has twin boys, grown now - every year , last item on his list, one twin asks for a new butt (cuz his has a crack in it) LOL Sis always gets him a tube of boudreaux butt paste for his stocking, even now:)This cracks me up! Rockfordmom Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 My daughter asks for pickles for her birthday all the time.
Reinholt1 Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 I'm 53 and still asking for a lion... Of course I also want a LLama....but I only started asking for that when I was in my 20's.Hmm I dunno about a lion....but Heifer International makes it easy to gift a llama! Actually, your request for a lion reminds me of the movie "Second hand lions"........I think you need to have a corn field before you can get yourself a lion. Otherwise...where would you put the lion?
mom2monkiesx3 Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 My 6yr old handed me his list...9 our of 10 things start with TEXAS RANGERS....including a TR robe... The one right in the middle stuck out though...a pet monkey, with a sword and his own little car to drive.
mom2monkiesx3 Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 My DD10 asked me for erasers...and I just told DS13 if he don't get me a list soon...under the tree is going too look like his list (empty!)....teenagers...he said "just put some cash in my account for my Mustang Saleen savings" (gosh that child is SOOOO MY son!)
Reinholt1 Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Well, I don't have a kid but I have two 81 year old parents that keep me on my toes. My dad, (in all seriousness, due to his stroke last year) told me over the weekend that he is tired of having so much trouble chewing. He says his dentures are 'worn flat in the back and dull up front' and he wants me to find a place where he can "get his teeth sharpened". I told him "Forget it Dad, you'll bite your tongue off". Never fear ...I am calling around to see about getting him a new pair of dentures for Christmas. Not going to let the poor guy starve. (But I'll be honest...he doesn't seem to have any trouble eating the cookies and goodies we've started making with these "worn and dull dentures.")
Rindola Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 My son put at the bottom of his list....2 caramel apples. I think we can handle that!
theboyzmom Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 my son asked for a box of meat a couple of years ago....so I bought him a box of steaks!
abentley Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Well add my ds13 to the list. This year so far it has been "10#'s of Reeses peanut butter cups", thats ALL! He doesn't want anything for Christmas. I guess he has everything else he could possibly want! My oldest son when he was 3 asked for a vacuum, and a white lion. When I was little I asked for a case of v8 juice every year and some salami from a deli in San Fransico that I loved. My DH would tease my older kids every year he wanted a new truck, he got keys in the very bottem of his stocking one year to his "new truck".
ohitsunshine Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 My youngest is on a nutella kick. She wants the biggest jar I can find.
