Tessangel Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 I buy the McDonald ones for stocking stuffers. My kids love getting them!
Gporter34 Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 I used to be a manager at Jack in the Box so I got my oldest kids their reloadable gift cards for their stockings because they were always coming in there with their friends and with their gift cards they could go when I wasn't at work.
bayhaysay Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 Yes, I have before. I have a few cousins who are 18-22, in HS and college. I never know what to buy them. They love getting free food. Now Sonic has the reloadable card so I may be getting a few of those this year.
ebony0421 Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 My 8 year old is a special needs child so I include McDonald's gift certificates in with gifts that I give my son's bus driver and bus attendant. It's just a way to say thanks. :clapping:
Guest all2tired Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 Not for FF but I will get GC for a nice restaraunt for my dad etc
AuntJamelle Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 I am planning on picking up a couple of McDonals gift certificates for MIL's stocking this year. I know she goes there for breakfast alot on the weekends. I will also be picking up GCs from Starbucks for DH and my best friend. I like to put the GCs in their stockings! :)
Kandy Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 I purchased some from Wendy's for my cubscout group for free small frosties.for Halloween
Steakgoddess Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 I never have, and nobody has bought me any either!
rockpzazz Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 Not to sound real rude, but the free frosty coupons are a rip. They are really small and not really worth it. Honestly, I laugh at people when they come in and use them. They get mad because they think its a real big frosty, but its only 6 ounce.
Guest DigDoug Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 Nope, I wouldn't give FF GCs to people. It's just not my style. I used to get them when I was a kid from friends of my grandparents.
Aaron Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 Not to sound real rude, but the free frosty coupons are a rip. They are really small and not really worth it. Honestly, I laugh at people when they come in and use them. They get mad because they think its a real big frosty, but its only 6 ounce. They are the .99 cent frosty's -- right? There for 10 for $1.00 makes them .10 cents each. That's really good to me.
rockpzazz Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 No those are 12 ounce for 99 cents. Its half that size. Imagine a shot glass with a frosty in it. They come usually with kid's meals instead of drinks if you dont want a drink.
Kandy Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 The frosty's are the "Child size ones" they used to give with the kids meals. They are small but hey you are looking at $1.00 for 10. coupons for 10 little boys ages 8-10.. I think its all good.
freesia39 Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 well, i'd only get them for my sister, who is a starbucks addict.
starshine Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 I give my teenage Cousin McD's gift certificates he loves them.
trolsgirl Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 McDonalds is the popular gift for the kids with the $5 certificate books for stocking stuffers. I, myself, like the Starbucks gift cards. LOL Sandra
krissy72 Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 I too like to buy the fast food certificates for stocking stuffers. I buy my father a gift certificate for ebay. He loves his ebay.
all4linkae Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 I sometimes buy them for my younger brother, he really likes that kind of stuff.
pcsoon Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 I wouldn't ever give FF as a gift but my kids have received them from relatives in the past. They enjoyed geting them. :)

kjunea Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 My mom is widowed and 79. For the past few years, I have gotten her something that she needed, and then put lots of gift certificates for EVERYWHERE in it. MickeyD's, Taco Bell, Wendy's, WalMart, Walgreens, Krogers, Chilis, O'Charleys, Cracker Barrell, etc. She loves this, since she can go get take out and not have to cook. She has so many dust collectors that this works much, much better! And it makes Christmas last for months on end! June
elena_398 Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 My mother-in-law buys fast food gift certificates for my kids. I buy the booklets and pass them out to my kids' class. I bought several packs for halloween for them to pass out at their parties Friday along with the baked goods im sending
ryka Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 I'm not buying A FF GC but I am going to buy my sister who is in college a GC to Stop & Shop so she can shop there.
treasure60 Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 My kids would cry if they didn't get g/c from FF in their Christmas sock. I have family member who like Starbucks so I did get $50. (free for doing book reviews) in $5. increments to give out.
