ourhappyfamily4 Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Does anyone think that Amazon will come thru and match walmarts Black Friday sale prices BEFORE the walmart sale starts?I remember last year getting alot of stuff from Amazon early on, that I was going to pick up later onwhen the Black Fridaysale came.It sure would be nice if Amazon would price match ( or even do better than) walmart on the Portable DVD player they have in their sale add, and also the wii and DS games, and DVDs for $2. What does everyone think? Still too early for Amazon to start?
abentley Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I hope so! I am looking forward to seeing what Amazon does in reaction to all the ads!
dtwdmaty Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I just went back and looked at my Amazon purchases for this time last year. New release Blu-Rays we're in the $18 range - not the $25 they seem to be stuck at now. The good deals started popping up November 17th for me!
Karmarose Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I would jump on DS's from Amazon at Walmarts price. Did they price match those last year?
sewblessed7 Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I'm curious since I've never shopping BF online before. Is there a good chance that Amazon will price match Walmart, especially toys? Maybe no one really knows this answer LOL :) but I thought I'd check.
Aaron Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Because Amazon is an online store, it would be very hard for them to validate and honor any type of price matching. BUT, they have been known to change their prices to reflect other retailers prices on a day-to-day basis, so it's not totally out of the question.
sweetdiggity Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I'm sure they will price match a lot of things from both Walmart and Target, and maybe even some other stores! Probably not everything, but it sucks 'cause we won't know 'til we see what they're offering. I wish Amazon had an ad that could leak. LOL Last year Amazon price matched a lot of $2 dvds and other things. I'm hoping Amazon does it again!!!
KBsDarling Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Come on Amazon...Make walmart have to hang xeroxed "additional" ads out!!! Scary the brick and mortar outta them!
hkchik Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 If you look on the Today's Deals page there is a banner that says a week of Black Friday deals starts Nov 22nd, deals will be added throughout the day every day. Check out that link and book mark their site...
shoppinmama Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Does anyone know if they matched Walmarts ds lite deal last year?
ourhappyfamily4 Posted November 15, 2010 Author Posted November 15, 2010 Oh My goodness me too. Too bad they wont give us some "hints" this week( that would be sorta like a add that has leaked hahah) I ordered lots of the dvds last year from them also, maybe they will do that again. I will have to go check out the target add again to see what Amazon might drop their prices on to match their sale. I was so excited over the walmart ad I forgot about target. haha I'm sure they will price match a lot of things from both Walmart and Target, and maybe even some other stores! mommy2g Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Amazon matched the DS prices. I bought one from amazon at the walmart price a few days befroe BF last year.
studentnurse30 Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Amazon matched the DS prices. I bought one from amazon at the walmart price a few days befroe BF last year. me too
shoppinmama Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Awesome! Thank you Mommy2g and studentnurse30! I will be keeping my eyes on Amazon. I am already stalking Amazon as it is. I would love love love to skip Walmart altogether and just pick up the few things I want at Target.
iluvwalmart Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Amazon would have to go much lower then Walmart for me to purchase from them. I get an extra 10% with Walmart so will be shopping with them.
krstee Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 I dread the idea of going to Walmart for the DS Lite -- although that is the ONE thing that will get me to go there first over any other store. If I can get this at Amazon before BF, it would be EVEN BETTER! Not sure where I will be this BF (at home or at the In-law's -- dh may have to work, need someone to watch the kiddos).
Cinnamonhuskies Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 The competition between amazon and walmart last year was great!! I hope they do it again; I got most of the BF stuff from amazon at the same or lower prices. Just theres not much notice, and you have to hit a Lightning Deal withing about 4 minutes before it sells out.
his_lil_gemini Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 I have noticed that Amazon is already matching prices on some things. I was looking for a certain bike that both WM and Amazon carried for about $85. Walmart lowered theirs and the next day i checked Amazon had the same price which was great because i had alot of Amazon cash saved up!
Cinnamonhuskies Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 right now, Walmart has a Panasonic phone set for $79.00 and free ship. Amazon has the same one for $81.26, free ship and NO sales tax. I'd still be better off getting the amazon one without our state sales tax and Prime shipping.

Sometimes, Coinstar has Amazon giftcard promotions and they also waive the normal fee for using the service, so it may be time to cash in the change, and then wait for the price matches to come through while saving on tax and shipping as well.
Erdica Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 We have $200 in gift cards to Amazon. We've been saving them to buy 2 dollhouses. Meijers just posted the same dollhouse for $20 less on Thanksgiving Day. I'll keep watching the page on Amazon.
peppysfireball Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Last year everything I bought, Amazon then beat the price, but they don't actually price match. One thing I am worried about that I didn't know at the time. Many companies say if you buy from amazon the warranty is void. I didn't know this until after buying two Samsung tvs and my husband wanted a trail camera. I found out from their website it had a mail in rebate and called them. They told me it didn't qualify and also informed me the warranty was void. After checking around , some other electronics in small print say amazon 30 day warranty only.
mac24312 Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 wonder if they will have a 19 inch TV for 99 like Walmart does BF??
racerfan Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 wonder if they will have a 19 inch TV for 99 like Walmart does BF?? Thats what I am wondering also. With no tax and free shipping it would be a fantastic deal. Right now there is one with Buy.com for $145 no tax/shipping and its a JVC Dh says to go ahead and get it but I would hate to miss a deal on Amazon

Did you try Radio Shack Yesterday someone posted that RS had the DS Lites for the $89.97 alot of people went and got them
