speeddiva Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 It used to be 7 days prior, but when I search their corporate site all I get it the price match policy for other stores. The link on their FAQ page(http://walmartstores.com/7660.aspx) just takes me to an investor page.
peppysfireball Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Most all of the black friday stuff comes in specially coded with different upc codes and will not work for price matching.
bigjimslade Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Here is the correct link and info. http://www.walmart.com/cp/Always-Low-Prices/538350 http://walmartstores.com/7659.aspx

The 1st one is the website only policy and the 2nd one you posted is the match rules. I want to know if something I buy at WM THIS week, will be adjustable if it goes lower next week?
speeddiva Posted November 15, 2010 Author Posted November 15, 2010 Most all of the black friday stuff comes in specially coded with different upc codes and will not work for price matching.I know that is the case for electronics & clothing, but even DVD/CDs, etc?
bigjimslade Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 The best thing to do when it comes to Price Matching/Adjusting is to talk to your local store manager and take his/her name
davephillyj Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Ours will NOT adjust the week of BF at all. None of them. The ones in my moms town in FL will not either.... They will MATCH but not retro adjust
Ares Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Yeah, definite YMMV on price matching.. but stores typically don't during the Black Friday hours, although you may get a good manager or CSM that might price match for you.. just remember, courtesy goes a long way.

sewblessed7 Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I bought the Kodak camera on Walmart's BF sale a couple of weeks ago (it was a daily deal at walmart.com). It came with the accessory package that walmart is now selling seperate for BF. Do you think they would do the price adjust for that? Or will it be a technical thing that they won't adjust for. It's a difference of about $10. OR, since I bought it and had it shipped to store (and don't plan on picking it up until BF), should I just try to get the one on BF and get a refund for the one I already bought? Just wondering what all you shopping experts would do :)
peppysfireball Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 especially those. last year they all had stickers that said promo on them. Nothing on the shelf was included.
peppysfireball Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 I would try to get the other one and return that one. If it comes in a bundle, the upc is different and they will not adjust.
brinley97 Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Definitely ask. I have had them price match on several items, from toys to CD's over the past few years.
RaineeDay1 Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 they price match but do NOT price adjust for something you bought earlier.. I PM at wm every week.. LOL

peppysfireball Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 I know a lot of stores that adjust if it's bought from them. JC penneys told me it's 30 days from them , walmart it's 7 days. Everyone has thir limit, but the fact that you bought it from walmart .com, makes it different. Walmart will not adjust a .com price. THey are separate.
UtahHotDeals Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 (edited) Here's the catch... WM price matches. However, most BF items, Walmart tells the manufacturer of the item, "Ok, we want to sell this laptop for $298, take a few features off of it, and we'll sell it on BF for $298". The manufacturer tweaks a few things, removes a few items, changes the model number, changes the UPC code and it no longer is the same item to them, lol! natthas Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 I went to Walmart last week. They won't price matches the items from Walmart's website. The employees are so rude. I don't understand why they won't adjust price from the .com.

I don't understand why they won't adjust price from the .com.Bc its a warehouse its alot cheaper to get it online bc you dont have to pay store price
davephillyj Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 They never have. I do not understand it either!
UtahHotDeals Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Why should they have to match the online price? There's a reason the price is usually lower. There isn't the overhead on online items as there is for in-store items. They add trucking costs, wage costs, theft costs, etc, all gets passed on to the customer in the store pricing.
jade2002 Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 I called Walmart about 2 weeks ago and asked CSM what thier price adjustment policy was. She said that it used to be 7 days but she didn't think that they did it at all anymore.
peppysfireball Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Walmart never price matches .com stuff. They told me they are separate things and they only price match retail stores.
NYshopper Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 I guess I can understand them not price adjusting but I thought they usually price match.....my WM told me they will not be price matching anything this BF.
Nate Dogg Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 The rationale is they do not price match themselves because they are not in competition with themselves. That is why walmart and walmart.com do not price match each other. On rare occasions I have been able to talk the store manager into it if they are close to their sales quota for the month, but normally the answer is no. As far as price adjusting, you have 1 day. If you do not catch that window then you have to buy it at the cheaper price and return the other item (they will normally not give you the other item back to go buy unless you work out a deal with the cashier).
NYshopper Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Yeah I can understand them not price matching with online too. My store isn't even price matching with other stores on BF.
rjjan Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 They should its posted so every store has the ads online for the store to pricematch the items. BB, Target, and others to name a few. Look at the price match policy at the bottom of the AD!!!!
lassdm Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Toys R Us has the Nintendo DS games, buy 1 and get one for 50% off. I live about 50 miles from the nearest Toys R Us and only about 10 from a Walmart. Anyone have any idea? It's not a Black Friday ad, but this Sundays paper ad. Thanks!
Mikesgirl Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 wm doesnt price match % off it has to have an actual price listed nor do they price match anything free
