kak
my daughter loved gerber biscuits at that age..... they are messy but so yummy... the packages are pretty small should be able to fit in stocking....favorite snacks.... some small stuffed animals (the sqeeky ones)...balls that are approp. for his age.....cd with kids music....... we also always put one of the very large candy canes in my dd stocking... ofcourse we had to sit with her when she licked the candy cane...made for some precious pictures!! we always put some bubbles in her stocking at that age as well she loved watching us blow them and popping them with her hands. I was a nicu nurse for 5 years before i became a home health nurse... hope ur little angel has a wonderful much deserved christmas!!!

fluffkin79
Kitchen utnesils - measuring cups or mesuring spoons, large plastic serving spoon or spatula. I know it sounds a bit strange, but my kids loved playing with these things. Bath toys, baby appropriate keys, baby-proof photo book like this one http://www.amazon.com/Sassy-80021-Look-Photo-Book/dp/B002J4U8L6/ref=pd_cp_ba_1a plaster handprint kit if you haven't already done one, board books. My kids really enjoyed the Baby Faces board books at that age (here's one http://www.amazon.com/Kisses-Faces-Roberta-Grobel-Intrater/dp/0439420032/ref=pd_sim_b_2#_) or song books so they can look at the pictures while you sing the song. tinkrbel
I can''t find the one I got my nephew recently but a family photo book would fit in stuffing. I'm posting one currently not available and another only in pink available at babiesrus. The last one is most similar (clips to stroller) but I think the one I bought had flippable parts for more pics. My bff's children have passed down the one in first post and love to sit and look at the pictures.http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51mMCmuo7pL._SL500_AA300_.jpghttp://trus.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/pTRU1-6085410reg.jpghttp://images.bedbathandbeyond.com/assets/product_images/230/11919116741540P.JPG Edited October 30, 2010 by tinkrbel new link

I want her to have Christmas presents in case she's born early, but not sure if I should get an "Baby's First Christmas" things in case she comes after Christmas, lol I am sure I will think of something... LeeNina19
Love this discussion! My daughter was born in April and I'm trying to come up with ideas for her stocking. I love the pink photo album from Toys'r'us and will have to check my local store tomorrow. So far I've come up with bath toys, board books, little cars, toy cell phone, socks and headbands. I think I am going to do socks, bows, gerber puffs, and a couple little sesame street toys I found. I am looking forward to finding some more ideas on here. tinkrbel
Thinking of fun stuff for little ones I remembered this one: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31CBN68XW1L._AA300_.jpg My godson has had his for a while now, it can be messy with bananas and stuff but HE enjoys it and that's all that really matters:)You stick some cut up fruit in it and they get the taste without having to chew or be supervised for choking. That way you can use them next year too.
cotejb
Here are some things my daughter really loved:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000I2MRLK/ref=oss_producthttp://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000YDDF6O/ref=oss_producthttp://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000I1RM0W/ref=oss_producthttp://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000IDSLOG/ref=oss_product Books are always good. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0805047905/ref=oss_product Not really for her but a good spout cover when she started taking regular baths out of the baby tubhttp://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001R44CQQ/ref=oss_product I also agree with the toothbrush thing b/c my oldest daughter has already went through afew since she mainly chews on it. lakj98
My DD will be 7 months old on Christmas. I have started looking for stocking stuffers for her as the younger kids are always harder. I have already bought her a few pair of earrings, a few hair bows, 2 bath toys, and a toy cell phone as she is already always trying to grab mine. I will also get her a sippy cup. Not sure what else yet. Someone posted a link for Sophie the giraffe. I just wanted to add that I recently bought this for my DD. At first I thought it was a bit expensive for a teether toy, but it had great reviews. Everytime I went to Toys R Us they were sold out. Last week they had them on the shelf so I bought her one. She LOVES it. She wants it in her hands all the time and even falls asleep holding on to it. Not sure what it is about that one, but she loves it. When she does not have it and I pick it up and show it to her she gets a great big smile on her face.
HansieDZ
It's been awhile, but I always got them a Hallmark Baby's First Christmas ornament. It's something that we all enjoy each year then they can take with them when they start their own families :)

If she arrives after christmas take advantage of all the "Baby's first christmas" markdowns. She will be all set for next year.
mommy2bugs
My youngest was 4 months last Christmas, in her stocking I put a few rattles, teething rings, wash cloths, and socks and a First Christmas Bib. This year she'll be 16 months old Christmas day. I plan on putting smaller toys and snacks in there. Plus a toothbrush. Not sure what else.
