mesarobins
DD got an American Girl for her B'day. Is there a better (cheaper) place to buy clothes/accessories for the doll besides the American Girl website?
dancergirlmom
What you need to look for are clothes/accessories made for 18" dolls. Target has a line that includes clothes, salon chair, beds, etc. Just be aware - the doll shoes are plastic and don't fit unless you cut a slit down the back of the heel with scissors. Even places like Michaels/Jo-Ann Fabrics carry some clothes/accessories in their doll making area - and you can use your coupons.
nat1jen
The clothes that I bought for cheaper never ending up fitting the dolls correctly. Have you tried looking on ebay for used AG clothes? Also, you might try Craigslist.
meinnj
There is a new line called "Dollie & Me" available at Kohl's and Sears, it's about half the cost of AG clothes. The only thing is, it is just the dress no accesories but fits perfectly.
ilgetumipretty
Try checking local craft shows. My MIL makes clothes for 18 inch dolls and sells them at craft shows in our area. And there are usually other crafters there selling them too.

For some reason, I have had bad luck anytime I buy an outfit that is a non-AG brand!
tntsmomie
We've gotten ours from Michael's (both the clothes and shoes fit great on DD's AG doll), and from a local craft festival. My mom also makes them herself, so we have a bunch from her as well.
nebraskaparkfan
another site is www.shopgoodwill.com. I've bought some things for AG on there.
westons
The Target clothes tend to not fit and/or are extremely difficult to get on and off the doll. Micheal's clothes work well.
