  1. i have an invitation to the vip event sunday night at sams and i am not a plus member.
  2. after an hour on the phone with macy's they told me my credit card refused to pay for the backordered sets. i finally got them to honor the price and put them on my debit card. i then called my cc company and they in fact did refuse it-they said macy's gave the wrong exp. date so they had to refuse it. needless to say it was an awful morning but they already arrived so i am happy in the end. they made me feel like a deadbeat when i was talking to them because my cc refused the order and it was only $47. i also had to pull teeth to get them to honor my free shipping-not a good experience with macy's at all. i miss marshall fields
  3. this stinks-i got part of my order and the rest was supposed to ship later and macy's just cancelled it. guess it was too good of a deal for them to fulfill it-doesn't make me like macys at all.
  4. i agree with everyone else-kohls over inflates their prices to make their sales look like deals-not. i won't even go there unless it is 50% off and then i figure it is about the normal price everywhere else
  5. not any help but my sister has one and she loves it. not sure where she bought it though
  6. i bought a samsung lcd tv 2 months ago and i love it! i got a 46" at circuit city but they price matched sears who did not have it in stock. it has a very good picture and is not an energy hog. plasma is supposed to have a better picture but the higher electric bills and with my old eyes the lcd is perfect for me. do get 1080p if you can-
  7. my brother used uhaul to move from illinois to arkansas-no problems at all. just my 2 cents worth
  8. i agree with monoprice-great place to deal with and terrific prices. i have bought cables for my tv there that work great and are so much cheaper.
  9. i have a prepaid t-mobile phone and think it is a great deal. i have had it now for a couple of years and it does what i want it to do and i found it to be the best price per minute.
  10. i agree wwith monoprice.com bought them and they are cheap and good!
  11. has anyone on here ever used buy.com for a large purchase? i am wanting to buy the 50" samsung tv they have but don't know if they are a decent and reliable place to purchase something like that from. thanks everyone SOLD OUT-SORRY
  12. its funny but now when my sister and i go out i bring a can of pepsi with me and a bottle of the starbucks coffee for her. we either share the can of pop-i now stock cups in my car or she will splurge and have her coffee. and we love mcdonalds on monday as you get free coffee! of course we go thru the drive thru and eat in my car but we sure save a lot of money.
  13. i have a sams club membership and like their meat better than costco. i went with my niece yesterday to costco and it seemed so much cleaner than sams but their membership price is higher, but they do have a better selection of non-food items. she has both memberships so if i want something from costco i will go with her-i refuse to pay for both memberships to shop.
  14. hi, i have a 6 year old sony that has a beautiful picture-a one year old samsung that is great with hd broadcasts but not too good with standard def and a old zenith which ahs a nice picture. trouble free on all of them so far
  15. i think sams club has them but i'm not sure on the price
  16. no gm travel mug for me either-and i do think my mailman keeps some of the good stuff. my sister gets a lot more of the samples than i do and we sign up at the same time. and i do think that some of the postal people are dumb enough to risk their jobs for this only because i know one that does do it. i really wanted that travel mug to use in my chevy trailblazer
  17. my bank doesn't charge you if you bring it in and it is under $100
  18. for me it is sams-have both right now and costco just doesn't have the things i want or like. the meat is much better at sams club and i would join just for that alone. as far as costco goes, i have no reason to renew this year.
