  1. hey fairydustcrissy - just wondering how you're doing on this and if you need anymore assistance for us SoCal-ers
  2. eh fairydustcrissy, appears you may need a miracle. Everything that I could think of/look up/find is booked, even by spreading out a little bit. There's this crappy place by the main USC campus that's on a quick-bus line, but it's only available on the 9th (then filled, I'm sure, by graduation people). At this point it's perhaps time to consider more outlying areas. If cab isn't an option, we can try looking for places on bus lines. Could also try looking for places near airport that provide Convention Center shuttle. But likely to run into same problem, esp. since LAX is closer to USC than CC. Like I said, 3 mos before graduation and we were already putting roomies family in Santa Monica and even that took lots of effort/calling. Is there a hotel line through the convention itself that could help?
  3. The Holiday Inn is the cheapest thing I can think of that's walking distance. Here's the problem though: USC's graduation is May 12. When my undergrad roommate graduated, her family flew in from all over the country and three months before we were alreay putting them in Santa Monica because everything reasonably priced nearby was already full.
  4. thank you! I recall having a "Grey's Anatomy" episode spoiled recently. Would be sad if I have to start avoiding the Lounge at nights just to avoid having things spoiled!
  5. "we're sorry It appears you have exceeded the maximum number of times this coupon can be printed. Thank you for your interest and enjoy your savings."
  6. awesome deal, a year for less than the cost of one issue - thanks!
  7. one of my nearby Targets had a ton of wrapping stuff on clearance (5 endcaps full) but it was hardly marked down at all. But something to keep an eye on!
  8. Don't know how much Dell charges for MS Office Basic or how old your kids are, but you could buy Office Student version separately. Here's a link: http://www.microsoft.com/office/editions/prodinfo/students/default.mspx. At the top is links to read more about it (with eligibility info at bottom) plus a link to how to get it
  9. Done. See: http://www.salescircular.com/ga/computer/mnitrp.shtml
  10. Agreed - same happened to me in December. Sent them a nice thank you email.
  11. As I said in OP, an employee there told me it would close in March, but couldn't be more specific
  12. any ideas on how to find out where their stuff goes to? I live in a large metropolitan area, so there are a zillion places they could be sending the stuff.
  13. you guys have been saying so many good things about these, I had to go get one (okay three) to try for myself! :)
  14. if you have them, Lohmann's (sp?) can be great
  15. I go to the Duarte one off the 210 and the Pasadena ones on Colorado - the one story-one and the two-story one. I think I've been at all three in the past week and none had the makeup marked down much. Is the West Hollywood one the two story one with the parking structure you have to pay to park in?
  16. Got a couple of mantel-type little clocks, regularly $19.99, on clearance for $3.74! If you get the TV Guide, look at the article about Bree from Desperate Housewives where the character in the therapist and patient. The silver clock on the desk is one of the clocks I got.
  17. Everyone else's suggestions were all excellent. Here's another site I've used: Amazon e-cards: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/browse/-/225840/002-3350183-6272041
  18. my RM is now up to 20-50% off everything
  19. Went to my Target tonight almost none of the makeup was on clearance and the stuff that was clearanced was hardly marked down.
  20. Rite Aid is easy and online, which I love (no photocopying or UPCs required). And CompUSA is starting to offer some online rebates, which is great, because their mail-in ones can be a pain in the a$$
