  1. One possibility is the free trial of Amazon Prime. see thread: http://www.gottadeal.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29762
  2. oh damn, I just bought something tonight. oh well
  3. I've been a couple times to Costco with my mom for the junior high she works at, but otherwise I don't go. I live along, so there's little I have "bulk" needs for. I'm guessing BJ's is another bulk club store? I'd never heard of them.
  4. ok, so I just woke up and haven't had any caffeine, but are you saying that they're free?
  5. Yep, and according to the employees, there's no word yet on what will go there instead, since there's already a Macy's in the mall.
  6. I didn't personally spend time in those areas, but I was told the entire store must go, so I'm sure those parts must be included. Note, however, that I was at a RM, so if yours is a different store, that may be different as well.
  7. any new codes? my friend just said last night she wanted to get some jeans from them...she might as well get a good deal on them!
  8. note: stuff was marked down even more tonight
  9. The Federated Department Stores and May Department Stores are merging and a bunch of stores are going to be closed as a result, see if yours is one of them (mine was ): http://money.cnn.com/2005/07/28/news/fortune500/federated_macys/table.html edit: So it occured to me I should post the deal part: At the RM near me, the entire store is 20-40% off the lowest ticketed price (many things are clearance priced), including things that don't normally ever go on sale, though I'm not sure about the cosmetics stuff. An employee told me that they're closing in March and are supposed to sell everything in the store before then, so I would expect stuff to keep going down in price. IMPORTANT NOTE: Because the stores are closing, all sales are final, so there are no returns!
  10. nope, sorry, the thing I got in the mail today says it's not good online or with the catalog.
  11. Thanks for this - I did that so I don't have to worry about cancelling it before it gives out! :)
  12. yep, I did this so my textbook would come free
  13. Kerasotes theaters (according to website) are only in Illinois, Indiana, and Minnesota.
  14. I was at the JC Penny in the Santa Anita mall here in Arcadia last night and they had a ton of stuff for cheap. I got a women's $50 fleece robe for only $7.06. Perhaps of most interest to people here, there were racks and racks of baby and kids clothes for under $5
  15. You guys inspired me to take a trip to Target last night and I got great stuff! Black & Decker automatic jar opener (for my grandpa): reg. $34.99, paid $8.72 6 pack of Xmas gift bags: reg. $3.99, paid $0.39. Plus earlier in the day I got 4 12-packs of Pepsi and 4 bags of Tostitos FAR from Sav-ons, and free Tampax and Always from Walgreens. It was a great (cheap!) day!
  16. thanks - the Staples ad was missing from my newspaper, so I wouldn't have known!
  17. When I searched for "Super Targets" in my area, this was it's response: "0 Closest Locations within 200 miles"
  18. see this thread from the Offline Deals forum for a $199.99 computer: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=29052
  19. thanks - I spent $5 to get a couple of things. Unfortunately, there were like 10 things I wanted in the seasonal clearance that when I tried to add them to my bag said they were out of.
  20. be careful with OTC diet drugs. Dexatrim and the like are basically speed (the idea is that they would accelerate metabolism, but don't really do that), but some, like ephedra, have very serious complications. Anything that is herbal is NOT under the government's jurisdiction, so there are no guarantees about it's effectiveness or safety, let alone if it even contains what it says it does
  21. bummer...I had picked out some great things, but they wanted almost $18 to ship $15 worth of items
