no makeup on clearance around here, but there was entire aisle that was empty. and now nearly all of the wrapping is on clearance, but just 30% off. they've got a ton, so I'll just wait them out

bump - things are now "up to" 60% off oh, and a commercial advertising this said that rugs are fine jewelry are "leased departments" and so not included, but I'm still not sure about cosmetics. Alwayst thought those were "leased" as well
