The system is probably the base model. On that one, I have not found out a way to record two different programs at once, which kind of stinks. But otherwise, I have had my TIVO two years now, and love, love, love it! TIVO is the best thing since squeeze butter, according to my hubby. There are probably better systems available through your satellite provider, though, if you have direct TV. But if not, go for the TIVO! But you may want to consider the newer model unit for the additional cost.

Went to Orange Park FL target this morning... not much on clearance. They did have some 50% off bras, but none my size. They had the musical instruments but still only about 30% off; Also, They had those 'signed, limited edition' guitars (quite a few) for 30% off; Some purses, h&b products, and some ugly jewelry. Christmas trees appeared to be on 30% clearance. No other Christmas stuff on sale though.
The only thing I scored on was a pair of earrings. There amongst the ugly jewelry that was 30% was the cutest pair of copper colored hoops (the inside looked like copper lace) for 80% off.

I will be getting the Gwen Steffani CD for DD but thats it!
Yeah, the Gwen Stefani CD is the only thing I will probably buy either.

I hope you get it Heather! My TiVo is the best piece of entertainment equipment that we have, IMO! It's so easy to operate!
If the OP's inlaws want something to wrap, they can buy you a TiVo at Best Buy in a box.
I did not think my hubby would like the TIVO when his mom/dad gave it to us, but a year later and I don't think he could live without it! Just being able to pause and replay all his football games in slo-mo is worth it's weight in gold! And being able to set it to record any show with "Jaguars" in the title has made him a very, very happy man!
When the in-laws got it for us, it came with a hefty rebate, which she filed for. I think total it came to $99 after rebate. For us, we pay a $12.95 month service fee, as we have reg cable and not any satellite service.

For big, cheap stuff that might give the appearance of "more" under the tree, how about one of those electronic dart boards? I saw them at target for $10 last week. Or a beanbag chair? One or two 'big' items might make the appearance of 'more'.

Can't we leave the nasty/OT comments off of the thread and leave this for people that may want to find the deal? (Not me, too expensive for my tastes)
Guess I should have included a smiley to indicate it was a joke? After all, a poster above had asked what makes the bags so expensive...I was just trying to give my answer to the question. Sorry to have affected your day so negatively.
On topic: The bag above is a very beautiful and colorful bag. I'll bet the calf was a beautifully colored one also. Prada is also too expensive though for me also, but maybe one day if I save enough with other good deals here.... But the price does seem good for Prada!
Also, alimfp, perhaps we could afford one of these bags anyway... this company seems to rent expensive handbags for people who want them for special occasions: http://frombagstoriches.com/productcart/pc/
Loving this website!

I guess because they are made from pure babycow leather ("Made of canvas and calfskin leather") instead of old dried-up, pruny, decrepid, elderly cow leather?

I am fine with Amazon.... first off this was a promotional gimmick,,,not a guarantee of sale of anything. It should be thought of like a contest. I really enjoyed the voting, even though I was not initially selected. However, I was lucky enough to catch them at the right time two different days and got the bike and the elliptical. Amazon has always been good for me to shop at..... their shipping promotions can't be beat.

does anyone know if i need a memory card and what kind?
You don't HAVE to have one as the camera has 16mb of internal memory which will allow quite a few pictures on your camera. But a card will let you be able to take much more before you download them or put them on dvd or whatever you do with you pics. They are nice to have, especially when traveling when you might not be able to download them off your camera.
I probably would not purchase the card until you get the camera because you want to be sure to get the right one.
-
anyway, the overstock rep gave me a $9.50 credit to use on another purchase!
Cool! I am glad they worked it out for you... maybe they will have another good deal during the remainder of the promotion you can use it on.

there is a 5x optical zoom
The 5x zoom appears to be the digital zoom... not seeing an optical zoom feature. For me, the optical zoom is more important than the digital zoom.

Florida, do you have the UPC? My Husband has all of the episodes clogging up my TIVO and if I could get the set for that great price I'd definitely get it for him! Thanks for the information!
Unfortunately, I already wrapped it up and shipped it to my daughter's boyfriend in Virginia just today.... and on line it appears to be $24.99. Wonder why? But here is a link to the ad that shows it for $18.99... the price is good all week, I think. It is on page 9 near the top....
http://weeklyad.target.com/target/default.aspx?action=entryflash&ref=nav2_footer_weeklyad (sorry, but for some reason, my link is not taking you directly to the ad, but you can look it up from the main page of target.com)
P.S..... a great addition to the "Firefly" DVD series set would be the movie made last year based on the series, "Serenity"... Walmart has it right now for just $8.15 + $.97 shipping!!! Great deal on a great movie! And if your husband has not seen "Serenity" it is a must if he is a "Firefly" fan.... Since he is probably a "Browncoat", he will love his gifts!

I am looking for a good price on a 7" dual portable DVD player. Is the one on sale at Best Buy a good deal?
They are already sold out online but local stores still have them. It's an RCA and Best buy is also offering a free carrying case and DVD. Thinking that may be an online only deal.
Anyway is this a good prtable dvd player and a good price? Anyone know of a better deal?
i saw a 10 inch one at walmart for similar price, but I am not seeing it online at walmart.com. however, they do have several 7 inch ones:

I ordered two items on black friday in the same order. One of them came US mail and was on my porch Tuesday after BF! The other came Fed Ex. I got confirmation that it shipped from CC on that Saturday after BF and took almost two weeks ...grrrr Fed Ex...of course, it was the one I was dying to get quickly!
But I have to say, i LOVE Circuit City!

Are they really still trying to unload the Garth Brooks boxed cd set???
If they just go ahead and sale it for $5 it would have been gone.
I highly doubt it... in my opinion $5 might be steep for that.... Garth Brooks=
...he just got too cocky for his own good.
If Walmart is planning another 'black Friday', I wish they would do it like our Walmart did a couple of years ago. They totally cleared out the Garden Center. They made two 'aisles' with pallets and pallets of just the black Friday door busters. Before they opened the doors, they went through the line and gave out tickets for the electronics items. When they opened the doors, people went in an orderly fashion down each aisle and there was Walmart staff at almost every aisle to load it in your buggy or onto a cart. At the end of the Garden center they had 4 registers and you had to pay for your BF items before going back into the store.
I had never went to a Walmart Black Friday before (or since) where things ran so smoothly, people were happy, and there was no pushing, grabbing, and slamming! It was the best Black Friday ever, and I got most of the stuff I wanted.

I got my 2 on Monday. 3 mikes in each. 5 mostly crappy cds in one, and 9 mostly good cds in the other.
-
dang, wish i had seen this earlier this afternoon .... on woot.com during the wootoff sales they sold some refurbished hitachi dvd camcorders for i think $279 (or $249?).... they seemed pretty nice.
-
I like it better this way! At least everyone has an equal chance of entering and getting selected. The week 1 x-box sale was a total joke. I signed on exactly at noon and could not even get thru the server for 5 minutes, and when i did they were gone! I like it this way better.
-
awwww i wish i had gotten the elliptical! But... I did get one of the leftover bikes from week 1 today for $40 ($60- $20 coupon)! So I am happy ..... Maybe they will have ellipticals left over from this week...
-
If anyone wins the elliptical and does not want it, let me know! I would love to be able to have one! I was a non-winner ...

i could not find the scans here, I guess maybe they were purged? Brad may be able to help you find a copy of the actual scan.
However, it is listed on this page with a free controller: http://blackfriday.gottadeal.com/Sales/Store/circuitcity
