  1. Today I got...

    -Jansport Backpack $7.48 was $29.99

    -George Foreman Super Champ grill with bonus Slow Cooker $7.48 was $29.99.

    They also had the Greatland backpacks on sale yesterday for 75% off... i got a girl's sling type one for $3.78 and a boys regular one for i think $2.48.

    Also, got a really nice rolling duffle bag for $12.98...it is very durable and a beautiful purpley/rose color.

    I sure wish I could find one of those grill deals, I was eyeing it at 30% off.

  2. Finally! The Foosball table was down to 75%off at $44.98.

    Found a Donkey Kong 2 Gamecube game with the bongos for $4.98;

    Found 1 Ella Enchanted Disney Mix Max clip for $9.98 ... i am afraid they may no longer make these as I cannot seem to find them at any store, and only on ebay.

    Got a Reebok duffle bag for $4.98 and a plastic Reebok string duffle for $1.98;

    They still had several of the $26 microwave ovens at the Fleming Island FL store.

    Got an LED camping lantern for $7.48;

  3. I went into our local Maurices today, and all of their clearance racks are an ADDITIONAL 75% off..I picked up a sharp pair of striped trousers for $7.50, and another pair of cropped dress pants for $6.76...our store had racks and racks and racks. These are NICE things, super in-style and really good deals! Don't forget to ask for a punch card while you're there! :)

    Maurice? what is that? I don't think they have that store here... do they have a website?

  4. Target was total bust for me today. I found one of those disney mix stick things the price on the shelf said 49.99 but it rang up 34.99. Does anyone know the original price? Like usual I'm confused. They had a few left, so if the 34.99 is a good price I will go back tom. Other then that they had zip.

    If it was the Mix Stix then I think they started out at $49.99,,,so they are about 30% off at your store. The Mix Stix only plays music and the music clips. The Mix Max is the music & video player one and it started at $99.99.

    From what I hear though, the Mix Max can download SONGS from the internet/PC, but the only video that will work with it are the Mix Max clips sold separately... not sure if that is true or not, but that is what the TArget guy told me.

  5. Can somebody tell me what the deal is with salvage items. I found a child's Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner on the shlef with clearance toys. I went to check-out the item, but it was not in the system. They told me they could not sell it to me and that is was a salvage item and was not meant to be on the shelf. I walked away with a very upset child.

    They tried to tell me that crap the other day about something.... I kept on and on and on about it until they finally called someone who looked up a price somehow and they finally sold it to me.

    I think some of the Target employees are just lazy and don't want to deal with it!

  6. You know, I'll bet that is what happened with the Playstation 2 Eye Toy game I saw for 50% off on Saturday, as well as a lot of Disney max clips. Saturday afternoon there were like 16 or so of those things. But Monday afternoon there were none.

    Where DOES stuff that is 'salvage' go to??? Is there a Target outlet somewhere?

    Okay, I think I am finding the answer to my question about where the GOOD stuff goes.. apparently it is shipped off to liquidators and surplus buyers like this one:

    http://www.liquidation.com/index.html

    Apparently, this is where some of those fire bowls and solar lights went .... http://cgi.liquidation.com/auction/view?id=1112188 and the manifest: http://i.liquidation.com/aucimg/1112/m1112188.htm

    I think I need to figure out how to turn my perimeter perusing into a business... any north florida budding business folk out there who want to capitalize on our addiction?

  7. I hurried out this morning when I saw the MixMax was 75%, none in our store, in fact nothing of the Disney Mix sticks anywhere, not covers, discs or the actual players so I asked since there was a ton there on Fri and he said they salvaged them out and they left the store. WHAT, I told him that they went to 75% yesterday in some areas and he told me because we are a HOT area that they moved them out, they are trying something new. What the hecks up with that, are they going to another area to sell at 75%? or 50%.

  8. hi... might you remember the brand or model of the microwave.. mine is on the fritz after 10 years....

    It was either an Emerson or a Sunbeam. I am thinking Emerson? .... I do remember it was a smallish 900 watt oven or 900 cubic unit or something.... I am not familiar with microwave ovens.

    I looked on target.com but do not see the model .... I plan to go back either tomorrow or Friday and if they are still there will try to get the number for it.

  9. I don't have any use for the cooler but I live at the other end of the Buckman in Mandarin, I think I need to cross the bridge and go to your Target since you seem to have one that really has scores. The Target here (almost the corner of 295 and San Jose) is really crummy and has been for over a year now.

    It has been the store on hwy 17 near NAS Jax where I have been finding better deals. The one near I-295 and Blanding hardly ever has good deals.

    BTW,,,this store had the Golden Tee really huge video game thing for $199, which I think was more than half price off... I think the orig price was $499 or something? http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=1-2/qid=1170171367/ref=sr_1_2/601-4189223-9429748?ie=UTF8&asin=B000GYX46C

    Also, they had a microwave oven for $28 or so... 900 cu, but I did not need one of those. 'Course I probably needed it more than a wine cooler,,,oh well.

  10. I think I have gotten into a bad habit of buying because it is a good deal... :confused:

    Anyway, today I got the $79.99 12 bottle wine cooler for $19.99. But now I really have no idea what I am going to do with it. Do I REALLY need it to chill my 2 buck chuck and Boone's Farm strawberry hill?

    I am planning to take it back to the store. But if there is someone in the Orange Park, FL area that wants it, I would be glad to sell it to you for the $19.99 I paid plus tax (you can see my receipt if you want).

    PM me if you live in or near Orange Park, FL and would like this item.

  11. Today Kmart had an additional 50% off the already 50% clearance priced toys...

    Got 2 Cranium games for adults about pop culture for $9.00;

    A Raven game for $4.50.

    They had a lot of smaller children's toys, but my kids are older so I did not price those, but they appeared to be good deals. I remember seeing several Dora and Fisher Price items ....

  12. Good day at Target today...

    Thanks to this forum, I am becoming a pro at noticing unmarked stuff on the regular shelves that does not have a 'home'. If something is out of place, or if it does not have a shelf tag, most likely it was closed out or clearanced.

    So, today, I found an Eddie Bauer 14x14 sun shade which will be super for the beach! They priced it at $7.50.

    I also got an Eddie Bauer stainless steel vacuum sealed 'thermos' for $2.78.

    Raven 2 Gameboy Advance Game for $4.98

    and a few other things....

    STill hoping that Foosball table will go down in price .... did not find any more of the multi game tables or sewing machines yet....

    Also, housewares (rugs, sheets, towels, bath, etc) appeared to be starting their clearances and are at 30% off.

  13. So what is the temp. there? It's -2 in Baltimore this a.m., no snow though!

    I guess I can answer since I live about 10 minutes away from Jacksonville, even though you asked krissy904. But it is brrrrr cold for us today... 32 degrees in Orange Park. Frost on the ground.

    I only remember it snowing (more than flurries) here 1 time in the 18 years I have been here.

    But a sled for $.98???? That is incredible!

    Also, does anyone have the DCPI for the firepit or the multi game foosball table?

  14. Had a great Target day today!

    But first ... let me wish a pox on the Perimeter Peruser in Orange Park, FL that STOLE,,, I say STOLE,,, my Singer sewing machine I had been eyeing for three weeks! I KNOW you brought back that Shark sewing machine that you bought when 50% off and got MY Singer I'd been waiting on.... just kidding, but I did take your Shark!

    Shark Sewing Machine, reg $119.99, now $29.98

    A rolling craft table, reg $29.99, now $7.48

    A long tile scrubber thing, reg $12.99, now $3.7x

    A Stanley stainless steel vacuum thermos for $4.98 (reg $19.99),

    A Sunbeam steam iron (not in a box---i think it was the display model) for $2.41

    A Titleist golf cap for hubby for $7.48

  15. Well, it sounds like the other Target is about 60miles away? If you get say 20mpg then that's 3 miles. If gas in your area is around $2/gal then it's around $6 each way for $12 in gas total for this trip. So you need to add probably a minimum of $12 (maybe even up to $20 depending on your car and gas prices) to the cost of the table. Now I know the discount is greater than this, but others have mentioned that you might be able to find an equiv. table closer for around the same price or a bit more, which will be a wash by the time you factor in the extra travel costs.

    The other intangible is the 3 hours in travel time. I don't know what your schedule is like, but for me or my wife the travel time is the killer. For us, it wouldn't be worth the savings. I'd much rather wait for a "close enough" price locally than to lose that time (though I must admit, it's easy for me to say, my son already has a train table :) )

    Don't know if this helps or hurts, and leave it up to a guy to go all "over analytical" and stuff. But then again, you asked ;)

    Oh, but you forgot the MOST important part of the equation: the FUN factor! For me, I would travel an hour and a half easily for some great shopping and incredible deals! Beats a boring old $60 round of golf or a $50 buck football game (and I LIKE football) for me anyday.... That is how I ended up at the midnight opening of Prime Outlets in St. Augustine on the day after Thanksgiving.

  16. Thanks! For those looking, I found these at my local WM for thirty something... sorry can't remember the actual price. I did not know if this was a good deal or not.

    At the least it looks like it will at least be a decent 512 mb mp3 player. But, beware, the reviews on Amazon are not favorable at all for this item, and it does not sound like something that a small child could use easily:
