  1. My deal of the day was a 12x9 Eddie Bauer screen house... reg $99.99, today for $24.98!

They also had Eddie Bauer sports sets, like horseshoes and bocce for $14.98... wishing now I had gotten the horseshoe set.

I also got another Airhog Vectron Phazer remote thingy for $4.98. Several of the Jacksonville and Orange Park FL targets have these on the reg shelf for $24.99.

Found another pair of moon shoes for $7.98.

Talked myself out of some gloves, clothes, and other stuff. And the Foosball tables and Sewing Machines were still only 50%... I am hoping for 75% on those.

  2. I read a few post back there were sewing machines on sale does anyone know what brand they were and what the price is . I am looking for cheap one for my daughter to learn on.

I did see the Shark Euro Pro for something like $30 on clearance. Appeared to be a basic full size sewing machine that would probably be good for a newbie ...

Also, they have a Singer on sale for $69 (not clearance) this week:

  3. I love this thread!!! I have learned so much!

Got one of those remote control copter toys for $4.xx.

Did you find these on the clearence shelf?

Yes, it was with the other clearance toys... It is an Air Hogs R/C Vectron Phazer, item #20007772

Here is a picture of one on EBAY: http://cgi.ebay.com/AIR-HOGS-R-C-VECTRON-PHAZER-NIB-10-EASY-TO-FLY_W0QQitemZ160073628517QQihZ006QQcategoryZ2563QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

  4. I love this thread!!! I have learned so much!

I took prior advice and started noticing 'out of place' stuff. I found a really nice Hampton Forge Santoku knife set just laying on the shelf while all the others were hanging up nicely. I noticed there was no shelf tag for this particular set ... so I scanned it.... $1.48!!! YUP!!! Can't beat that with as stick!

Got a pair of Moon Shoes that I would have normally overlooked because the red clearance tag was $20.98... they scanned $7.48!!!

Scored one of those remote controlled SUVS that play the MP3 players through the speakers... for $14.98... I think it was originally either $79.99 or $99.99.

Got one of those remote control copter toys for $4.xx.

    Boys sweatpants for $1.98 each

    Christmas CD for $.99

  5. If any one is in the West Palm Beach area. Could you report on any stores with better bargains. I was at Royal Palm beach and they seemed pretty cleaned out.

    Thanx

P.S. in what dept are the roll up pianos?

I found the roll up piano in the toys section. But you might want to check electronics too for any put on the wrong endcap.

Sorry I can't help about South Florida stores... I am at the opposite end of the state near Jacksonville.

  6. The ESPN Football game and the twelve in one arcade game was $23.99 this morning.

Dang,,,, I found one today stashed somewhere where it should not have been with the clearance sticker toward the back of the rack... It was $34.88 for me, but hey, that is still a good deal ....

One thing I didn't get but kind of wish I did now was the roll up electronic piano for $12.95. I think it was originally either 39.99 or 49.99. They also had a pair of some kind of electronic superman gloves that were $4.74... but there was a $5.00 coupon on the front of the box to get $5 back in the mail!

They still had the electric roasters for $14.99 and $29.99 for the fancier one.

I also got a portable DVD carrying case bag (fits 7-9 inch players & can be mounted on the back of a car seat) with earphones for $2.48.

  7. I found some great pot & pan sets on sale 50% off. They are the Kitchen Essentials sets made by Caphalon the Utility 11 piece set, the style-ware 8 piece set and another 10 piece set. The T-Fal sets are also on sale 50% off. The turkey fryers were on sale at 50% off while the peanut oil to to go in them was 75% off. There were tons of baking and cooking clearance including cutting boards, utensils, baking sheets, individual pots and pans, etc. Most was 50% off. There were some silverware sets also that were 50% off.

They had the caphalon set at my Target too, but it was only 30% off.. I am hoping for another markdown. The did have a lot of the Rival Electric Roasters (hold 16 lb turkey) for $14.98, so I got one of those. They also had a bigger better model of the roaster for 50% off ($29.99).

I noticed they did have a lot of cookware and luggage on 30% off.

  8. Seems to me that the re-tagging of items would be more costly and a pain for them. I just wish they would go back to the "additional percentage" off also.

By the way,,,have any of you Kohl's charge customers gotten an 'additional %" coupon lately? I don't think I have gotten one since before Thanksgiving...

  9. this looks like a good deal from Thomas Distributing: http://thomas-distributing.com/hotdeals.php -- $29.97 but not sure how much shipping is. It is free with $75+ order.

  10. Not really... they only work on a $5 mile radius .... They also have to be 'on' to receive a call (unless that has been improved by the manufacturer since Christmas 2005). They really eat the batteries (I think 3 per phone). If their friends do not have a chat now phone, they won't work.

If you want something like this, I would just go with those long range walkie talkies, or those cheaper pre-paid cell phones.

  11. A little frustrated with my Target here in Florida, there are hardly any toys on clearence and when I asked the manager she said it's because they sold so many toys they have none to put on clearence, lucky me! I never even saw any dollar spot things go on sale, they were just all of a sudden changed to Valentines day, I need a new Target here.

Not sure where you are in Florida, but the Orange Park FL (near Jacksonville) Target had tons of toys for 30% to 50% off.

  12. Okay, i now want to kick myself. I had a $50.98 clarinet in my buggy. But I let my friend and daughter talk me out of getting it because they said I would never learn to play it. They may be right. But I could have at least put it on a shelf and LOOKED at it! :( ... or donated it to the school or something.

But hopefully some young budding musician will find it and get much more use out of it.

  13. One thing I have noticed about rebate checks is that they are sent in the most generic-junk mail looking envelopes possible and NEVER hardly have the store or manufacturer name on the envelope. It usually shows some other weird marketing name or something. There have been a couple of times I almost just shredded it thinking it was junk mail.

I honestly think it is a conspiracy... they WANT people to throw the checks away. Some people, I am sure, forget about the rebate altogether after awhile. Thus, they sell an item for full price that they may not have sold otherwise if they had not offered a rebate!

  14. Katie, after reading some of the scum and vileness posted over on Amazon forums, it is a breath of fresh air to hear that there ARE actually decent, honest people in the world who just aren't out to screw over or humiliate others! :)

And great find on the tree! I will have to check out our local Lowe's tomorrow.
